How do i replace the heater control valve in a 1998 chev.c1500 v6 pu

The heater control valve is located on the passenger side rear of the engine. It has a vacuum line hose that opens and closes the valve. Remove the vacuum line hose, start the engine with the temperature set to cold and see if there is any vacuum on the line. Then set the temperature to the HOT position and see if there is any vacuum on the line. Vacuum should be present on ONE setting only. If nothing happens check for proper vacuum to the control assembly. The valve is vacuum operated, if no vacuum is present the valve won't work.

Heatbolt torque settings for audi 2.8 v6 30 valve quattro 1998 sedan

I assume you mean "Cylinder Head Bolts".

Tighten bolts in two-step sequence (See diagram)
Step 1 = 44 Ft. Lbs (60 N.m)
Step 2 = Additional 1/2 turn

These are "torque-to-yield" bolts and NEW bolts must ALWAYS be used when the cylinder head bolts are removed.

Ford Explorer, 1998, V6 4L the cold and hot air is only blowing HOT air from interier air unit, when swiched to cold and the air cond is not working ? thankyou dgp

Check all the vacuum hoses connected to the vacuum motors to see if they are disconnected or damaged. A fairly common one is the vacuum hose leading from the engine to the heater controls on the dash. It gets roasted from engine heat. G/L

Support Bracket power steering AUDI 1998 2.8

Any comparable car should work. Your car is a 98, so you would have to stick with Audi/VW cars that have the 30v V6 (98-01.5). The 97 and earlier years used an older 12v V6 and those aren't compatible. It's unlikely that the 1.8T models would work either. You'd have to look for A4, A6, and Passat cars in the model range I mentioned, and you may find that if you have a quattro model, your replacement would have to come from a quattro (Audi) or 4motion (VW) car as well. Try to find a donor car with your same drivetrain (30v V6, auto/stick - whichever you have, and 2wd/4wd, whichever you have).

To tell at a glance which engine is which, the 30v has black covers on the valve covers that say "5V" (for five valves per cylinder). The older 12v cars I believe actually say "12v" on them.
