02 aztek with no heat?

Had the same problem but was overheating I changed the thermostat a $10 part. Had to take the throttle body, air cleaner off to get to thermostat. Tight spot makes a little time consuming but can be done with short 13 mm box wrench. Hope this helps!

I need to know about the latch system in a 01 aztek

It is a sequence controlled by the BCM. Failing to open on command (key, remote or inside button) is a symptom I saw several times when I needed to replace the Body Control Module.
Luckily was under warranty.

I had that problem before, the intake manifold gasket leaks. After replacing it runs like a charm. I have an '01 also and still have it.
