In my 1997 S-10 extended cab, you have to take the upper torx bolt out for the seatbelt, the clothes hook above the extended cab window, and a few other minor screws. Should be easy to see.

Hi. Remove any visible screws and then use a still blade putty knife to gently lift the panel.
You will see plastic or metal clips which you will have to release one at a time until the panel is free. If you break a clip, don't worry as these are common items at any auto parts or auto body store. J.
