Question about 1990 Ford F150

Anti-lock & brake lights are staying on

I have a 1990 Ford F150. The anti-lock & brake lights are staying on. I have had the front & back brakes redone, brake fluid changed, master cylinder checked - but their are still on. Is there a reset?

Have you checked brake switch on pedal arm ? Should be power in but not out until pedal depressed. Could be 2 different problems.

The light is on to tell u that a problem exists in the ABS, have the ford dealer test the system for the trouble code and then u will have some idea what ad where the part is is that is causing the problem. Remember right now your ABS system is disabled.

1998 ford F150 abs light stays on/master cylinder is full of fluid

Norman, The ABS light is telling you there is a fault in the Anti Lock Braking system, could be faulty wire/plug,sensor, leaking/stuck wheel cylinder/caliper, etc. The computer in your vehicle will have to be scanned to find the fault, diagnosed and estimate repair. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Ford uses the same light for fluid level indicator, check that sensor, as well as the fluid level.

1990 Ford F-150 has "rear

It is something in your brake system and it will take some troublshooting to figure it out. Although it says rear anti-lock it could also be the master cylinder.

But most likely, one of your rear caliper is started leaking and will required replacement. Also make sure that your emergency brakes are adjusted correctly and not dragging on one side or the other.

Brake pedel hard, can't get fluid to back brakes,

You need to replace the round Ball (accumulator ball). It's not holding pressure. You have front brake only. Is the pedal hard as a rock, the red brake light stays on, abs light stays on?

Anti lock brake light on

It is most likely a bad front wheel speed sensor.Your sure abs rings were on back of rotors? It is going to be next to impossible to fix without getting the code with a scanner
