SOURCE: PO171 error code System too lean bank 1

Here are some possible causes, I would start with anything related to replacing the intake.

Air leaks in intake manifold, exhaust pipes or exhaust manifold
Fuel control sensor is out of calibration
Low fuel pressure (fuel filter clogged, pressure regulator failure)
One or more injectors restricted or pressure regulator has failed
O2 sensors contaminated, deteriorated or has failed
Vacuum hose is disconnected, broken, leaking or loose

SOURCE: 2002 Chevy Van with a 3400 code po171 too lean how

Code PO171- Lean mix of Bank 1.
Code PO174- Lean mix of Bank 2.

Most of the time a P0171 and P0174 is caused by either a vacuum leak--more than likely the PCV hose and valve or a dirty or defective Mass Airflow (MAF)sensor. Low fuel pressure can also cause this condition. The PCV hose is located on bank one but can affect both sides because the other end is located on the back of the upper intake manifold. Usually they deteriorate and get a hole in it.

Clean the the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner, which you can pick up at any Auto parts store and also pick up a bottle of fuel injector cleaner. Good luck and hope this helps.

Po171 system too leen bank 1

you will have to check the sensor to see if its working properly. if not it will have to be replaced. if it is then you will have to check for a vacuum leak on that bank, dirty or bad injector, exhaust leak ahead of sensor to cause this code on that bank.

2002 grand prix gt po171 code

Thats code for a bad O-2 sensor. That can be caused by antifreeze getting into the exausht. Try clearing the code and putting in a can of Sea-Foam. I have had good success with that cleaning off the sensor.

2002 BUICK LESABRE LIMITED,VIN K. FUEL PRESSURE IS 44,SHOULD BE 53-59.I HAVE A PO171 CODE.IS 9PSI IN FUEL PRESSURE ENOUGH TO CAUSE THIS CODE? I HAVE CHECK FOR AIR AND VACCUM LEAKS,NONE FOUND

You need professional tools to solve that

If your checking for leaks, means a visual inspection,
then you not going to find them, you need an Evap
Smoke Machine to find Vacuum Leaks quickly

A worn out Oxygen Sensor could be the PO171 code

Have to look at scan tool data, fuel trim, fuel pressure, cylinder misfires, consider a bad exhaust converter, many things to test, you can't do in your driveway.

Some vehicles have a computer controlled fuel pump,
so you need to know the strategy there, before that alone
is an issue.

1997 buick lasabra engine code >po171

The trouble code is related to a lean engine fuel trim problem. This particular code can be caused by a vacuum leak, low fuel pressure or faulty MAF or MAP. Check for vacuum leaks first, if you cant find any broken or cracked hoses, you might want to take it to a good shop and have live data read to determine if there is a component defective.

Check engine light keeps coming on in my 2003

there are two reasons why this code will set 1st is a vaccum leak next is a bad mass air flow sensor if you have access to a good diagnostic computer you can read live data to pinpoint the problem if you don't have access try to find the vaccum leak in the engine compartment if there isn't one replace the mass air flow sensor

Check for vacuum leaks, especially the intake manifold gaskets. If those are o.k., clean the Mass air flow sensor.
