Question about 2003 Nissan Sentra
So my wife pretty much spent all the gas in her car by the time she parked it. Its a 02 Sentra with 134k miles. I just replaced the spark plugs, air filter and belts. Its last oil change was July of last year and it has only moved a little more than 1000 miles after that. (save your comments)
After finding out that it wasn't starting. I went and tried to crank it up. It didn't. I had my wife crank it to see if it was turning over, it was but it still wasn't starting. Put a 1.5 gallons of gas in it and a bottle of fuel sys. cleaner. Tried it again, nothing but now, it would act like it was trying to start and at the same time it was vibrating really hard. It only did this like two of three times. After this I tried to crank it more.
So I decided to pulll out the spark plugs to see if any gas was reaching them. The plugs smelled of gas and they were very black. They had a coat of some black substance over them. Cleaned it off put them back in, tried it nothing. Since this whole time i've been cranking it without it starting, the batter died.
Try replacing the Fuel filter, if still no luck check the pressure of the fuel at the fuel rail under the hood of the car.
