Follow the radiator hose somewhere around top of motor there is a round fitting attached to the hose and engine remove and theres ur thermostat

88 comes with 2.0l, 2.3l, 2.9l not 1.8, is it 2wd or 4wd, need torque specs for what?

I have a 88 ford ranger with a blown motor and a 1992 ranger with a good motor can it be put into the 88


are they the same size and family engine?3.0L "U" engine,(*8th vin digit) then yes...... if not.......... yes, after much money and labor spent. ecm, wiring harness ect. unless you are just replacing the basic engine and transferring all of your old parts to the newer engine.

Brakes not working


You need to adjust the rear brakes and you might have to bleed them out.

87 ranger new motor bad truck


try to find an 1988======>93 ranger. the closer to 88 the better. the wiring harness is similar in 90-93, but you will have to adapt some parts on the newer.
