Does the caliper move around if you try to lever it away from the disc? Are all the bolts definitely removed? Often it is just that the pads needs to be pushed back a bit so they will clear the lip on the disc. Try putting a screwdriver on lever bar between the inner pad and the disc and pushing the brake piston back a bit, that may free it up to clear the lip. Check that the caliper slides move freely when you get the caliper off, if not remove and clean / regrease them.

How to replace AUDI front brake disc


Atention!!!
Don't disconnect any brake line from caliper!
Don't disconnect any ABS sensor!
For change front brake pads you must raise vehicle, remove wheels, extract the retaining spring of the caliper, and remove the caliper as follow: 1. Do not disconnect the brake hose from the caliper, and do not allow the caliper to hang by the brake hose! 2. Remove top and bottom caps (on back side of the caliper) for access to guide pins, then unbolt and remove them from the brake carrier. Remove the caliper. 3. Now you must thoroughly clean the brake calipers (free of grease). 4. Remove outer brake pad from brake carrier. 5. Pull inner brake pad out of brake caliper piston. 6. Remove brake carrier from wheel bearing housing (two ribbed bolts). 125 Nm 7. Remove brake disc from wheel hub. 8. Install brake carrier on wheel bearing housing. Tightening torque for two ribbed bolts = 125 Nm. 9. Check up the brake fluid level on the reservor, and emptying if neccessary! 10. Push piston back into brake caliper housing. 11. Install inner brake pad (with expanding spring) in brake caliper piston. (Arrow marked on pad - if exist, must point in direction of brake disc rotation when vehicle is moving forward). 12. Install outer brake pad into brake carrier. 13. Bolt brake caliper housing to brake carrier using two guide pins. Tightening torque is 25 Nm. 14. Install both caps. 15. Insert retaining spring into brake caliper housing. Important: Depress the brake pedal firmly several times while the car is stationary so that the brake pads adjust to their normal operating positions!!! Check brake fluid level and top up if neccessary!!!

How do I change the entire headlight assembly on a 2008 Mazda CX 9.


There are a few installation bolts that are accessible from the top and side but you will need to remove the entire front bumper to access two of the lower ones. Here are some pics from the factory manual. First shows location of the headlight bolts and fasteners. Others show how to remove the bumper. 10mm socket should handle all the bolts you need to remove. Disconnect the battery prior to starting and headlights off. HID headlight voltage is around 25,000 volts so you want to ensure no power to the system before performing repairs.

    Wheel Brake hose from the caliper Caliper mounting bolts Caliper
To install:

  1. Install or connect the following:

    CaliperCaliper mounting bolts and tighten to 58-73 ft. lbs. (80-100 Nm) on the front caliper, or 37-44 ft. lbs. 50-60 Nm) on the rear caliper.Brake hose to the caliper and tighten the fitting too 18-22 ft. lbs. (25-30 Nm)Wheel

How do you change front brake pads on an Audi A6 2006


How to change front brake pads & rotors (brake disc) on 2006 Audi A6:

Atention!!!
Don't disconnect any brake line from caliper!
Don't disconnect any ABS sensor!
For change front brake pads you must raise vehicle, remove wheels, extract the retaining spring of the caliper, and remove the caliper as follow:

1. Do not disconnect the brake hose from the caliper, and do not allow the caliper to hang by the brake hose!
2. Remove top and bottom caps (on back side of the caliper) for access to guide pins, then unbolt and remove them from the brake carrier. Remove the caliper.
3. Now you must thoroughly clean the brake calipers (free of grease).
4. Remove outer brake pad from brake carrier.
5. Pull inner brake pad out of brake caliper piston.
6. Remove brake carrier from wheel bearing housing (two ribbed bolts). 125 Nm
7. Remove brake disc from wheel hub.
8. Install brake carrier on wheel bearing housing. Tightening torque for two ribbed bolts = 125 Nm.
9. Check up the brake fluid level on the reservor, and emptying if neccessary!
10. Push piston back into brake caliper housing.
11. Install inner brake pad (with expanding spring) in brake caliper piston. (Arrow marked on pad - if exist, must point in direction of brake disc rotation when vehicle is moving forward).
12. Install outer brake pad into brake carrier.
13. Bolt brake caliper housing to brake carrier using two guide pins. Tightening torque is 25 Nm.
14. Install both caps.
15. Insert retaining spring into brake caliper housing. Important: Depress the brake pedal firmly several times while the car is stationary so that the brake pads adjust to their normal operating positions!!! Check brake fluid level and top up if neccessary!!!

    How do i take off the disc brakes on my 2001 toyota celica?


    These instructions came from Auto Zone's website and their free, online repair guides. Just plug in your make, model and year and you can get exact instructions and pictures for your repair. Sweeeeeeet! Good Luck!
    1. Loosen the wheel lug nuts slightly.
    2. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
    3. Remove the wheels.
    4. Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper. Plug the end of the hose to prevent loss of fluid. Some brake lines have a union bolt and gasket type line attached to the caliper. Do NOT lose the washers.

    1. Hold the sliding pin and remove the bolts that attach the caliper to the torque plate.

    1. With two hands, lift up and remove the caliper assembly.
    To install:
    1. Grease the caliper pins and bolts with Lithium grease or equivalent. Temporarily install the caliper on the torque plate with the installation bolts.

    1. Hold the sliding pin and tighten the installation bolts to 25 ft. lbs. (34 Nm) on the front wheels, and 14 ft. lbs. (20 Nm) in the rear.
    2. Attach the flexible brake hose to the caliper with new gaskets. Tighten the hose to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm).
    Install the brake hose lock securely in the lock hole, in the caliper.
    1. Fill and bleed the system.
    2. Install the wheel, lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts.
    3. Before moving the vehicle, make sure to pump the brake pedal to seat the pads against the rotors.
    4. Check for leaks.
    1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
    2. Remove the wheels.
    3. Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.
    4. Remove the bolts that attach the caliper to the torque plate. If applicable, hold the flats of the sliding pin with a wrench while loosening the caliper attaching bolts.
    5. Lift up and remove the caliper assembly.
    To install:
    1. Install the caliper and loosely install the bolts.
    2. Hold the flats of the sliding pin with a wrench, then tighten the bolts. Tighten to 25 ft. lbs. (34 Nm) except on Celica rear calipers. Tighten the bolts on Celica rear calipers to 34 ft. lbs. (47 Nm).
    3. Connect the brake hose to the caliper, using 2 new washers.
    4. Fill the brake system to the proper level and bleed the brake system.
    5. Add brake fluid to the reservoir to fill to the correct level.
    6. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
