SOURCE: fan stays on when car engine turned off

That's a normal condition to cool the engine, it should turn off in a few minutes.

I have a 1992 gli twincam, everytime when I drive it and try to change to a lower gear when I clutch it,it switces off, I replaced another engin because I was told the engine is too old and the problem is...

check the operation of the safety switch on the clutch system . It is there to allow the engine to start when you have your foot on the clutch. It is a safety switch to prevent starting in gear That is the electrical circuit I would be testing as the problem is clutch position/ ignition related.

I have an 84 toyota corolla but there is no engine in it i was just wondering what would be a handy engine that would fit nice and easy? even a engine that would be easy to get a hold of? Thank you

here is a complete breakdown of 'yota engines and plus/minus aspects-the easiest thing to do is buy a rusted junker and swap drivetrains (they are everywhere) but you can do almost anything, including dropping in a small block ford or chevy if you are so inclined and have the resources.

Twincam engine light comes on and kills motor

the engine starting only when doing a push start sounds like a bad ignition switch. the coil and ignitor are getting power with the ignition switch at "on" but not at the "start" position.

Back-fires and cuts off

check the distributor to make sure that the rotor is pointing at the no. 1 cylinder when that cylinder is at top dead center on the compression stroke. It sounds like your distributor rotor is 180 degrees out of time. The engine will run but will do what yours is doing.
