SOME OF THE REMOTES REQUIRE THAT THE KEY BE IN THE IGNITION, IN THE ON POSITION. TAKE THE BATTERY OUT AND WAIT 10 MINUTES. THEN PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND INSTALL THE BATTERY WHILE THE KEY IS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

Reset alarm for chryisler 300m 1999

Has to be done with a scanner. Some times it can't be done. You would have to get a body control module and have it programmed.

Just had new shocks put on my Jeep Liberty 2005 CRD, and now the remote keys won't work. When I use them to unlock the door manually the alarm goes off.

Alot of times resetting is not exactly as some say including the owners manual. before going to a mechanic who knows your vehicle try the procedure a few times being sure to do it exactly the way the owners manual says to.

MY KEY DO NOT LOCK DOORS AND SET ALARM

I would try disconnecting the battery for five minutes like resetting a computer. Replace the battery in key fob. Body computer does strange things with lights hope it doesn't need to be replaced about 350 dollars if you have it replaced and any thing else doesn't work after they replace it tell them. I had two of them replaced for me because they are rebuilt

Battery went dead on car, car security system is in safe mode and want let car start, when you unlock the car alarm sounds and want do anything else, Battery has been replaced, can i reset the alarm if so...

Hello,

The new battery should have reactivated the alarm? If this is a keyless entry, than your original code should work?

If it doesn't than you need to call the dealer, or seervice provider for your alarm system there has to be a reset code, or a new one has to be provided?

I would try your normal code first! If it works, your good, if not, your going to be on the phone! No body but the place you purchased your vehicle from or the Alarm system provider can give you that answer!

Kind Regards!

I dont have the remote to the stock alarm on my 2003 hyundai sonata and my alarm wont turn off and my car wont start

I know this sounds obvious, but did you run your battery dead? If you don't know, get the battery checked.as for as tuning off the alarm... Just simply disconnect your negative battery cable. This will reset the alarm. This doesn't solve the problem but makes it less annoying while figuring it out. What about the battery in your remote, is it dead? Look for any wires from the alarm that may be frayed, cut, or corroded. Hope this helps.

Alarm went off had to disconnect battery to shut off, door open light stays on, interior light stays on door locks and window controls will not work

O.k. this is a security feature of your alarm the car now essentially thinks that it is being stolen. In order to fix this issue you need to reset the alarm buy reconnecting the battery and using your electronic alarm sensor if you have one (if this doesn't work get new battery for alarm sensor)
