How do I take out the power steering ump to replace a serpantine belt in a 98 buick park ave?

Vin K or Vin 1 ?
Removal Procedure
The accessory drive belt drives all engine mounted accessories. All driven accessories are rigidly mounted to the engine. Drive belt tension is maintained by a spring loaded belt tensioner. A belt squeak when the engine is started or stopped is normal and has no effect on belt durability. The drive belt tensioner can control belt tension over a broad range of belt lengths; however, there are limits to the tensioner's ability to compensate. Using the tensioner outside of its operating range can result in poor tension control and/or damage to the tensioner.
Important: Ensure that the wood block extends past the width of the oil pan in order to avoid damage.
  1. Use a jack with a block of wood on the jack under the oil pan in order to support the engine.
  2. Remove the engine mount to engine mount bracket nuts.
  3. Remove the engine mount bracket front upper and lower nuts.

Remove the engine mount bracket front upper and lower studs and spacer.
Lower the engine as necessary and rotate the tensioner to remove the drive belt.
Remove the drive belt.
Don't need to remove power steering pump if done right !

The front motor mount has gone on our 2006 Buick Lucerne, also their is a bar on the right side of motor at the top . It is attached to the motor and goes back by firewall.is this a motor mount as we

Anything attaching a moter to the body "should be a moter mount" and have a rubber dampener for vibrations. As for replacement It is usualy done by jacking up under the moter with a floor jack and a good size block of wood to distribute the weight to a larger area. Once it is supported you can release the bolts and slip out the old mount to replace it. Hope this helps.

I have a coolant leak after removing a stud from moter mount when replaceing serpentine belt how do i fix

More than likely this stud you removed was one of the front cover blots, that actually works to seal the front cover up also.Remove that same stud again, and install some thread lock onto the bolt, then re=install it.This should correct your problem, Hope I could help...Rate me accordingly! thanks..

Any other way to to replace the serpentine belt from a 1997 park avenue without having to raise the moter mount...there is a mount that blocks the belt from sliding off

Yes at the bottom by the air conditioning compressor is a spacer/bushing that runs through the mount and into the block.I think the nut is an 18mm it is on a stud that is an inverted torx towards the bottom. Many times removing the nut will also unthread this stud.If it does not you will need the inverted torx to remove it .After that is out wiggle that spacer around and it will dislodge and allow just enough room to get that belt off and back on.

Replace water pump on 2004 Dodge Stratus 2.4L DOHC

First, I'd recommend you buy a manual, because the water pump is internally mounted, driven by the timing belt. You will also need a puller to remove the crankshaft pulley. You can usually rent/borrow this from the same place you bought the manual. The manual will also show you how to properly install the timing belt and compress the tensioner.
You will need to drain the cooling system, raise the car (safely), remove the right tire, right inner fender, right engine mount (aka front mount), accessory drive belts, timing belt cover, timing belt and tensioner (which needs to be recompressed correctly), and now you are at the water pump. Since the timing belt has to be removed, you should also replace it.

Im replacing timing belt, accessory belts and water pump on my hyundai elantra gls 1997 sta wgn auto transmission. (1)Where is bolt to drain engine block coolant?(2)After removing front engine mountin

(1) No need to know if engine block coolant drain plug was available. Once the water pump was removed, all engine block coolant was drained. (2) After removing the three engine mounting bracket bolts, I also removed the mount bracket from the the body and made enough room to replace the timing belt easier.

Need to replace the superchager belt, i know that it isn't easy, remove the lower moter mount spacer of the idler pully mounted inside the mount? '96 riviera

If memory is correct it should be driven by the serpentine belt, which runs through one of the engine mounts.
To change the belt you'll need to support the engine (by something other than the oil pan) and pull the engine mount.
== here is another opinion== First you have to remove the belt to the alternator then you can remove the belt to the supercharger. To do this you will need a 19/32" socket and breakerbar or long ratchet.
Put ratchet on belt tensioner nut and pull toward front of car then pull belt off. There is a separate tensioner for each belt.
I hope this helps and since your doing all that work might as well sevice the supercharger too which is always forgotten.
You can buy a superchaarger lubricant from the dealer or, according to the manual. You can use synthetic 10W30 weight oil, which is a much cheaper route.
The filler is a small plug located at the bottom of the goose neck of the supercharger. You need an allen wrench to unscrew it. The oil should be up to the bottom of the threads for the screw plug.
Good luck and hope this helps. Dubble check though, i had a long day.
