Question about 2007 Cadillac CTS 3.6L
When I turn on my headlights, dashboard/speedometer lighting should come on only sometimes it doesn't. It's not the dimmer control. Any ideas what's wrong?
Sounds like an internal lighting circuit issue if problem comes and goes as you described. Recommend have cluster removed and sublet for repair at a "speedo shop" , then recheck if problem persists.

The problem could be a failed light sensor for the twilight sentinel, it is located in the defrost vent, could also use more info on the symptoms. try putting the sentinel to the on position with vehicle out side during the day time and then placed something over the light sensor and see if the lights come on by watching the tail lights if they come on then it is working, if not replaced the light sensor.

Not exactly sure where to look but there may be what is called an in-line fuse-link. It would be somewhere in the wire going to the headlight. Basically a fuse but not in a fusebox. I would look under the hood and trace the wire from the headlight.
