1999 corolla alarm when jump starting immbolizes engine

I was deployed for 6 months and came back and haven't had my Corolla ran since then. It is a 99 and I had a friend charge is for 30 minutes, the dash lights came on but the car would not start. As soon as the positive terminal was placed on my Corolla's battery the alarm went off for maybe 15 seconds then shut off. As soon as a I opened the door to try starting the alarm went off again, even when I tried unlocking the door with my key. There is a blinking red dot next to the steering wheel on the right side I tried pressing that but it wouldn't shut off the alarm. Any ideas how to reset it so I can start my car?

I would change the battery and make sure it has a good charge. Or take that battery to auto parts store and have them test the battery to make sure it is good. If it is, have them do a fast charge. If that don't work I say you might have a grounding issue

It held a charge because at first when I just tried starting it nothing came on at all, no engine or lights. After charging for half an hour or so the dash lights all came on so I know it holds a charge.

Not sure what else it could be, it seems to me the alarm is not allowing the engine to start

Your Central locking wire is short from any one door side. Please check it properly.

You need to charge your battery up more. Either get a battery charger or leave the jumper cables hooked up for a longer period of time.
Your battery was probably completely dead. You might even need a new battery...they really don't like to be completely drained.

SOURCE: Car won't start. Believe kill switch is engaged.

Do you have a chipped key {small black thing in the middle of the key} if not you need to take your registration into the dealer and order a new key.

Check your alarm. because the alarm system has a engine immobilizer which makes the engine do what you are experiencing. Take the car to the dealer and tell them what is going on and they will reset the car system.

Ran over immobilizer gadget for a 2000 toyota corolla. Now the car won't start what can i do?

2000 its aftermarket two ways remove the alarm and do away with it or find the switch to turn it off its either a small red button you press as you crank to start the engine or its a small micro switch. Better yet remove it. go under the dash you will have to remove the panel to access the relay find where the aftermarket alarm installer spliced into the ignition switch follow the wire colors thhere cut it and restore it back the way it was two colors from ignition will now match there use a but connection or solder the wire back together and wrap electrical tape to protect it from shorting out.or you can just drive it to a shop that know how to repair and remove the alarm you need two person . some one in the car and someone direct the starter by jumping the solenoid to battery with thhe ignition in the on position and someone in the vehicle so it doesnt take off and run you over

I have a 1999 Toyota corolla. During winter the auto theft alarm gets activated as soon as I try to open my car using the key. I don't know what to do and how to start the car?

If the alarm system does not work correctly, disconnect it and get rid of it. If you want an alarm for your car get a new one that works properly.

you may have to disconnect the battery for a minute or so ,this will reset the alarm. check your remote it does have a battery in it. otherwise you have to look for a fuse somewhere under the dash close to the fuse box.each one is diff. depending if it original toyota or aftermarket alarm.

Toyota Corolla VE 1999

Ok ,Is there red LED lite in the car for the alarm system? if it's an after market alarm there could be a bypass switch under the drivers panel that you could of hit accidently that would put the system into a valet mode . this switch would put the system into a door lock and unlock mode only. So look under the driver's dash or side kick panel for a switch or button, you would need the car on to switch it back
