Truck will not start.replaced batteries and alternator. will start if towed forward.

You have a problem where your starter is either not getting fire or it is bad.....look for loose wires near the starter.....if ok, have the started tested before buying a new one to ensure this is the problem

I have a 2002 ford f350 7.3 diesel p/u. I have replaced 3 starters in three weeks. 50% of the time when I turn the ignition to on, the starter begins to crank. Also, starter will reengage while driving....

It almost sounds like something may be wrong with your Ignition switch. Other things to check would be wires going down to starter, wires at starter cellenoid on fire wall.

I have a 1985 f250 with 6.9 liter diesel and when I couldnt get electricity to starter, I mounted
a 12 volt starter button I got at napa auto partson the dash just to the left of the glow plug light
and wired it across the selenoid switch. I still have to turn the ignition switch on first.

2001 F350 Charging problems

actually the only thing i can recomend is to have the alternator replace again for warranty and before starting the truck charge the batteries very well with a baterie charger make sure to charge them individually because with a low batterie the alternator has to put a lot of load and might burnt again
specially with dual batterie.
