Has the battery been tested? Have you run a battery draw test with a multimeter set to milli amps? If so what is the reading? Also check and make sure no lights are on in the car, check the visor vanity lights, glove box, console if equipped, trunk all of them, do it at night.

Hi Arkina, Have the voltage regulator inspected and checked. If that checks out fine, check the earth connections or have someone check for you. If you have a volt test meter, start the engine and connect the meter to the positive and negative battery poles, measuring the output. At idle the alternator should output about twelve to thirteen volts, increasing to about thirteen volts with an increase of engine speed. With lights and heated rear window on the output should be about thirteen and a half to fourteen volts. Regards John

My battery light sensor came on so I took my car to autozone to check the battery,it said good battery so what is the problem??

The warning light is for the alternator or something in the wiring between the alternator and the battery.
It means the alternator is not charging the battery.

Use a jumper to connect the positive terminal of the battery to the terminal L input of the alternator. That will give 12V to the exciter circuit of the voltage regulator and turn on the alternator so that it can begin charging. If that makes a difference, there must be something wrong with the input to terminal L.

the ignition switch may be defective, this is the electrical switch that the ignition key ooperates, they changed the design of the switch in the late 90's and they have problems, this is one of the symptoms. here is a picture of that switch which is mounted to the back of the ignition lock cylinder.

1991 honda accord will not charge alternator test good

1st check and make sure you have a good ground on the battery. Check the battery. Make sure it passes a load test. It is possible that the battery is not holding a charge. Make sure all alternator connections are connected.

The alt. is not charging if you disconnect the battery and the car dies. Make sure you have power going to the alt. and the mega fuse is not blown.
