Where are the freeze plugs

iF THE ENGINE IS NOT LEAKING. THEN FREEZE PLUGS ARE NOT A WORRY, IF THEY ARE LEAKING LOOK FOR GREEN COOLANT ON THE SIDE OF THE ENGINE ABOVE THE OILPAN AND UNDER THE MANIFOLD.

I have a coolant leak under the manifold coming off the block and is spraying towards the rear. No oil, water mixture at all..is this a simple freeze plug repair?

If the water is spraying out from under the intake manifold then it is not likely a freeze plug, since they are typically located at a lower point. If you've recently changed the head gasket there's a chance that over torquing caused a crack exposing a coolant duct in the block.

You are probably correct -- it's a blown head gasket.

Check out your freeze plugs. They are thin metal cups that press fit into the side of the block. Use a mirror and a light to inspect while the engine is running.
