Yes there are screws in several places along the edges of the door panel and in or below the center handle and push pops you have to pull the panel from the edges after removing all screws only then can the truth be revealed

I need to know how to replace door handle assembly

You have to get the door panel off first. There are hidden screws in and under the door handle. Then you have to take a screwdriver or hard flat tool and go around the inside of the door panel and pop out all the plastic clips that hole the panel in. Onced panel removed, take off plactic/paper on inside of toor. Two small bolts in handle. 10mm. Plastic clip on rod connected to door handle inside door need to be popped or disconected from rod. Plactic clip slides then rod pops out from inside door handle. Reverse procedure to reinstall new door hanle. Be patient. Sounds like a lot of work but is fairly easy. Try to do in 20 degree weather. It sucks. Have fun...

How do you replace drives side exeior door handel for 95geoprizm

1) Remove the plug inside the interior armrest and remove phillips screw.
2) Remove armrest and two screws that hold door panel to door frame.
3) Pop the outer cover off the interior door handle.
4) Remove the interior lock knob and remove door panel by popping out tabs connected to door frame and lifting up off of window ledge.
5) Remove the two nuts holding exterior handle in place.
6) Disconnect the L shaped linkage from the handle. The trick to getting the L shaped linkage into the new handle is to feed L shaped metal pole through hole in door where exterior handle was, leaving the lower end of this linkage in its slot.
7) Feed the end of L shaped pole through the plastic 'hinge' in new handle by folding the hinge over and pushing the end of the L through both sides of the plastic hinge at once. slide the lower loop of the plastic hinge down the L shaped pole to secure pole to handle.
8) Place new handle into door and reverse the process to reinstall interior panel.

Hope this helps Tim

I just want to know how to get the Interior off the door so I can get to the motor. It is a FORD EXPEDITION 2000 XLT TRITON V8.

ok first things first
1. if you look by the door handle to open the door there will be a little round button use a flat head to pop that out, then take a socket i think its a (10mm) and loosen it up enough to pull the door handle out of that hole (you don't have to take the bolt out all the way it will come with the handle )

2. then there will be trim going up the door along the edge of the window you have to pop that off to ! it would be a good idea to invest in a tool that looks like a flat head with a bend at the tip of it its made for taking door panels off without damaging stuff when you pop that trim off there will be a little plastic pop pin at the top of the door panel you will have to take out !
then at the front of the door panel by the side mirror there will be a tringle piece of plastic that needs to be popped off and another little plastic pop pin will be there, take this one out two!

3. once you have that done you need to pull out the door lock and window controls the same way but you want to work from the front of it to the back (closest to the door panel) and it will need tobe pulled towards you a little and then up ! once you have done this you will expose the wires to the bottom of it you need to disconect these plugs and remove the switches.

4. then you should be able to pull up on the door panel by the grab handle and it will pop right off just make sure you disconect the door panel light before you pull it away too far !

hope this helps !

How to remove interior door panel on 2004 ford expedition?

First pop off the door open handle back plate with a screwdriver. It just snaps on. Do the same with the switch cluster plate below which also snaps in place and remove the switch harness connectors. Next pop off the small narrow cover plate under the armrest pull handle to expose 2 Torx screws. Remove these screws. Next locate a Phillips screw in a retaining cup which is located on the end of the interior door panel just above the latching mechanism and remove that. Locate two 3/8" hex head screws at the bottom of the door panel and remove those. Grab the door panel by the armrest handle and pull up to unhook it from the door. If its the driverside door, you will also have to diconnect the mirror adjustment switch connector to free the door panel.

I need to print out a discription of how to replace a door handle

First, remove the window switch/door lock switches from the door panel, these are usually just clipped in, sometimes held in by a screw. Then, remove the outer cover for the interior door handle. This has one screw in it that you should be able to see (or see the little panel covering it which needs to be popped off first- be careful not to break it!). The plastic piece can then be slid slightly forward and popped out. Check to see if you have a speaker in your door. If so, you may have to pop off the plastic panel covering it, and unscrew the speaker, then disconnect the electrical connectors and take it out of the way. There should be two screws, if memory serves, underneath the grab handle of the door, and then just check the perimeter of the door panel to make sure there are no other existing screws in it. After all of the screws have been removed, you can then begin at the bottom and (carefully) pop the door panel out of its clips. Once the bottom and sides are popped out, pull up slightly to pull the entire panel up and off of the window sill. Now you can get to the actual door handle. Unbolt it, and disconnect the little clip/clips behind it which hold the metal bars in place. These bars are what pushes and pulls on the actual latch and lock assembly. Be sure not to break the clips! You may need to reuse them. The new handle can then be clipped back in, and then bolted back up. Important: Test out the function of the new handle before reinstalling the door panel and all of the accessories. If you have a problem, it will be much easier to fix or troubleshoot with the door panel already off! Make sure you dont lock yourself out of the car, in case the door handle fails. Once satisfied that the handle is working properly, install the door panel by hanging it on the window sill first, then lining up the clips and snapping them back in, this usually works best with a little smack of the palm against the door panel. If a clip will not go in, check to make sure it is properly installed and lined up. Once the door panel is fully lined up, screw in the two screws located underneath the arm rest/grab handle, and any other screws you may have removed. Install the speaker (if youve removed it) along with its plastic cover. Pop in the plastic covering for the interior door handle, and screw that in as well. Pop the plastic covering back on that. Now, reconnect and pop the window switch/door lock switches back in, and you should be good to go!
