Under the blower motor inside the car (this is on the passanger side below the dash, when you get under there you will see the part that will need replacing). There is one screw and a connector to remove then pop the new one in and your done.

SOURCE: where is the heater blower motor resistor located

Just a picture to confirm what coly_coli posted, no new information

This is the wiring harness for the blower motor resistor, the actual resistor is mounted in the blower duct. If you follow the harness to the left ( towards the driver's side ) it is on the connector on that end.

Blower motor resistor location

The blower resistor is located near the blower motor, under the glove box. To get to the blower resistor you have to remove a cover box, held on by two 7mm bolts224b2f3b-82a6-441d-92e6-8de7096f4277.jpg7a9dfa9c-7e14-4851-8885-b266d8604beb.jpg

Remove heater control switch

Before removing the heater switch on this 2006 citroen hdi I would first have the blower motor checked and the most common reason for this and other blower problems would be the blower resistor.

Your blower works on and off at times, first locate the blower motor and the resistor. the blower motor is located on the heater box, look under the pass/side of the dash, you may have to remove under dash cover to see blower.
When you have located the blower now look to the side on the heater box, there you will see a connector plug, it plugs into a connection on the heater box, this will be the resistor, the resistor slides into heater box and the end of it bolts to box to hold it in place and then the connector plugs into it, if you can not locate it then follow wires that plug into blower , follow wires back they will lead you to resistor,
next time blower does not work wiggle connector to resistor and see if blower turns on, if it does then resistor is the problem. also unplug resistor plug at resistor and check for any burning of connectors at plug and inside resistor.

I would bet its a bad resistor or the plug is brunt due to high draw from bad connections, if plug has burn damage to connectors then replace the plug along with resistor.

It's right next to the blower, above the passenger's feet. See pic below.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Reach under the instrument panel near the blower motor and disconnect the wire harness connector from the blower motor resistor.
  3. Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor resistor to the HVAC housing.
  4. Remove the blower motor resistor from the HVAC housing.

Ac blower motor

it should be located in the heater/evap case under the dash by the glove box, usually the pigtail from the blower motor itself leads the the resistor pack.

A/c heater fan no blow

sounds to me like the blower motor resistor, and if I'm not mistaken the resistor and the blower motor are located under the dash on the passengers side. the resistor should have a wiring connection and 2 screws attaching it to the blower case. The a/c and heater blower will not work if the resistor goes out. hope this helps you out a little. Best wishes.
