Could be intake manifold. apparently, GM made them out of PLASTIC on this year and they crack when they get brittle and old. (still wondering why they need constant bailouts?) Mine is leaking coolant into the oil and going to have to get that fixed very soon. Sounding like a ~$500-1000 job.. but not sure yet.

Why is there water coming out the throttle body on my 1999 oldsmobile 88 3.8litre

Hi Henry, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

Henry, anytime there is water coming from the throttle body, it could be a cracked head, blown head gasket OR the intake manifold gasket is blown at one of the water ports on the manifold. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair-website at:

1997 olds 88 won't start

You need the 3 essentials for proper engine operation.Fuel, spark, and compression. You said the fuel pump is working but the question remains;is fuel reaching the fuel rail.Try starting the car and then take one spark plug out and check it for fuel odor.

Water is coming out the spark plug ports, but no water in the oil on my 1998 delta 88. What could be the cause?

These cars have issues with the intake gaskets, you should have to replace them but do not buy OEM gaskets, get the metal ones if you can find them.

I think i have an crack block because water is coming out of my air filter

It sounds like the gasket between your throttle body and intake is damaged, Your throttle body is water heated to assist in cold weather starting and if this gasket fails it can allow water into the intake and depending on the angle of the intake can cause water to run into either the motor or into the air filter.

Water in oil

if you hear air comming out the oil filter the you have a cracked block. the water jackets inside the block being cracked it the only way to get air out of the oil filter. Sorry about the news but a flux of the engine and you'll find out
