Question about 1999 Ford Ranger SuperCab
I have a ford ranger 4x4 1999 model. the transfercase has been repaired about 18 months ago. i have only done about 8000km since the repair and now it does exactly the same thing when 4wd is engaged. the chain, seals and clutch were replaced. should the guys who repaired it have replaced other important parts such as sprocket or other essencial parts to avoid this happening again?
It depends on what the stuff looked like . But yes a ten year old transfer case should have had all the wearing parts replaced. Maybe the whole case should have been replaced. But maybe it is adjusted wrong . Call anoyher garage to see if they can look at it.
