SOURCE: How do I fix a broken outer door handle on he drivers side?

Is there anything connecting the handle to the door latch assembly? Is the lock cylinder in the key hole and secured? It just sounds like the linkage may have slipped off the door handle

SOURCE: DRIVERS SIDE DOOR WON'T OPEN NEED TO KNOW HOW TO

I have a 2004 Mazda 6 & this happened to me.
I have found the easiest way possible to get the door open without having to remove the interior trim.
1, wind down drivers window.
2, remove carefully the exterior window seal trim
3, about 6" down is the door handle lever, use a screwdriver to unclip the door handle & slide out the rod
4, use a wire coat hanger with a loop on the end or a thin piece of flat steel with a hole in the end
5, hook the wire into the rod & activate the door lock with the key & push the wire down & pull it all the way up & this should trick the lock. IT worked for me.
Was easy from there on & all that needed replacing was the spring inside the lock. A common problem I believe.
Either modify the spring or replace it.
Best of Luck

Cadillac escalade 1999 driver side door wont open

Oh well, hey, if you got the panel off, you've already accomplished the near impossible! And no thanks to safelite, very rude of them. The bars or rods should be able to be pushed or pulled to ...open door latch, or work locks. Is that the kind of bars you mean? If so, find the door lock and get that unlocked, then the door. If it isn't like I picture it, get a good ole Cadillac person to open it for you!

Remote control door locks drivers side works but passenger side doesnt open from outside

hi i assuming that it opens from inside if yes
the problem is the linkage or door lock actuator
to see witch one is the problem from inside the cor
press the door lock switch not the remote.if you hear nose
from passenger door put no movement in the lock that means
actuator is working and the problem is in the linkage
now you must tack door panel off to fix by reconnecting linkage
arm to actuator that should be your solution
good lock

AC blows hot air on the driver side and cold air on the passenger side

You may have a bad temperature door actuator motor on the drivers side. The actuator is what moves the temperature blend door and when it fails it usually moves the door all the way to the "hot" position. Sometimes if you shut the vehicle off for a bit then restart it the system will work fine for a while then the actuator will again swing the door all the way open or shut. I've replaced several of these actuators [both drivers side and passenger side] for similar problems.

My 97 grand prix windows wont go down my passgener window qiut first now my drivers side quit 2 my motors r good in both sides

Pop the door panel off, replace the actuator. go to the salvage yard and get a working one for $16.00 You've got an upper and lower nut/bolt on the actuator and 3 screws holding down the motor bracket. Very easy fix. make sure the window rides in its track when you're done. If not, you'll burn the motor out after three tries.

Chevy Impala Door lock issue

Which is it, 98 Eclipse, or 06 Impala? Either way, your door lock actuator is stuck in the locked position either electrically or mechaically. The way to check this is to remove the door panel and unplug the actuator. If door lock can now be moved then you have an electrical problem (faulty door lock switch or faulty door lock module). If you still cannot unlock door then actuator is mechanically bad and must be replace (usually the case)

Climate control panel

These problems are usually caused by a faulty blend door actuator which controls the position of the air mixing door, and in vehicles with more than one air zone (passenger/driver, front/rear, etc.) there will be a door/actuator for each. These electric blend door actuators are self-calibrating - there is a feedback circuit (wiper type potentiometer) that tells your HVAC control the position of the door. It is not unusual for this potentiometer to wear causing loss of signal at various positions, which then will cause erratic movements of the door (if the circuit fails to open circuit or shorting, the door will default to fully open or closed - i.e. hot or cold air only).

1995 ford aerostar power door lock actuator

if that wire has an eye conector the hold it to grond and if everithing works then atached to gron but if not eye conector then some times manufactures leave extra wires for future cars options,
you can also remove the door panel and see if the power is getting to the acuator if it is then actuator is not good but when you do it make sure to have check all the fuses prior to that
