a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

you can dip the stick & check fluids condition
look for disclouoration [should be cherry reddish colour] if its not red then smell it for burning & rub some between your fingers it should be very smooth & very slippery!
its not just a matter of changing the fluid when the trans needs a filtee & clean& its a messy job without th e right tools
So book it in for a complete service !
i do miy car every year withiut fail & its hardly ever driven!
but if you do lots of miles do it more often
I hope thtis helps

I recommend that you purchase a service manual for your vehicle. It definitely wouldn't hurt to have somebody experienced to look over your work and give advice. Brakes are not something I recommend a person do by themselves if they are not familiar with working on vehicles.
If you are familiar with doing brakes on other vehicles, replacing brake pads on newer vehicles is really no different than doing it on older vehicles.
