SOURCE: Automatic door locks will not work.

you need to take it to the dealer and have them check the bcm for codes.... also have them check to be sure you have the latest software in the bcm.. its possible that you just need a software update... there are several TSB's covering the concern you have..... it can be a very simple fix with software or even a stuck lock switch may need to be replaced... without the proper diagnostic codes being read from the bcm all that can be done is guessing..and that can be expensive...

Try replacing the battery in the key. It may be too weak to engage lock.

SOURCE: 05 Honda accord remote not working doorlocks

Your door actuators are out and will need to be replaced. This is a common problem . My 03 has this issue too. Actuators are about $70 each. I would recommend finding a good stereo shop to install them instead of the dealer since stereo shops deal with removal of door panels and actuator installs day in and out.

Electrique door lock problem on my Honda CRV 2001. Door locking by itself? How can I fix it?

if the door is locking constantly it is a bad doorlock switch most likely driver door, or wire could be nicked by the doorlock switch. if it locks when you turn on the ignition you most likely have an aftermarket alarm that was never taken out of the car and is now causing problems because the battery was recently changed or disconnected

Drivers main door lock won't acutate

{: ) If its only the driver door lock not working, open that door and try to put your ears as close as possible to the actuator area. You can use your remote to lock and unlock the door actuators. Can you hear the lock actuating even a little sound? Is the doorlock knob seem to move but wont push or pull thru? I hope you did. Because you just need to replace the actuator.
If thats not the case, it can also be an actuator, but you may need to confirm the wirings first.

What and where do I disconnect.

Ah Yes..good reason.

Go to your fuse panel (under your dash). Remove the fuse marked "door". It may be named something else, perhaps "locks".

Once you find and remove the fuse, give it a try at speed. Hopefully the fuse only supplies door lock power and not your windows. More than likely this will render your door locks completely manual.

However, there was a recall on this vehicle for this problem.

NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 92V135000
Component: Structure: Door Assembly: Latches And Locks
Manufacturer: Toyota Motor Co., Ltd.
Year: 1989
Make: Toyota
Year of Recall: 1992
Type of Report: Vehicle
Potential Number of Units Affected: 554,910
Defect Summary:
The electronic control unit (ECU) for the power door lock system can fail, causing the contacts to "weld", and resulting in door lock solenoid damage, with failure of the door to lock or unlock, even under manual operation.
Consequence Summary:
If the door fails to open after ECU failure, vehicle occupants would have increased difficulty exiting the vehicle in an emergency.
Corrective Summary:
Install an additional sub-circuit relay control to prevent malfunction of original relays in the ECU.

So the thing to do is contact your local Toyota dealer and have the recall performed.

I hope this helps!

Best regards,

Central locking not working, doors lock then unlock when just want them to lock

one of the door doorlocks is faulty the door lock link switch thinks the door is open and wont allow it to stay locked it can be plugged into the diagnostic socket and that would tell which one is faulty or the slow way is to disconect each door lock one by one until it stays locked then u will no which one is faulty

The sliding door on our 1996 Toyota Sienna is broken shut (it cannot be opened). The door button on the inside nor the handle on the outside can mechanically effect the door. We do not have automatic door...

It sounds like the cable/bar in the door is broken or stuck

1. you will need to remove the door lining to get at the problem

2. could also be the door lock stuck in the lock position (does the door feel like it locks or unlocks when you use the lock)

3. could be the handle cable/ bar

NOTE some vehicles have cables while others have bars play with everything while you have the guts exposed this should help to locate the problem if nothing is moving while you play with the lock or handle this could be the problem
NOTE If nothing seems to be missing or out of place it could simply need to be lubed at the point where the door locks to the frame

The locks on my 1997 Land Rover Discovery wont stay locked. I lock them and they pop up when I shut the door. Whats up with this mystery.....any help is appreciated.

The owner's manual for your Discovery clearly states that this is a design feature to keep you from locking the keys in the vehicle. The doors must be locked with either the remote keyless entry transmitter, or with the key itself.
