Question about 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser
Both a locksmith and mechanic will be able to replace your ignition lock cylinder for you. However, most of the time a locksmith will ask you to sign a waver before he will even begin to work on your car. I personally would always prefer to take it to a mechanic and have them do it for you. I would just feel more comfortable with having someone who works on a car for a living taking care of it than having someone who works mostly on home locks. Go with the mechanic. Let me know if you have any other questions. Hope this helps. Thanks for your honest rating and thanks for using FixYa!

Contact your dealership.. have the key cylinder fixed or replaced. You might be able to get your car running again by troubleshooting the problem by yourself but you might have some problems while driving like locking the steering wheel while driving. This will be very dangerous.
