SOURCE: How do you replace a Drivers side headlight bulb 2006 kia spectra

Helps to remove the battery, but small ahbds can do it.

Directly behind the lens is a big round cap ... twist it off. The bulb is held in place with a spring that locks in to a notch in the holder. When handling the new bulb, don't touch the glass. The oil from your skin will cause it to shatter when turned on.

Throw out bearing kia

sometimes with a new clutch kit for a kia the throw out bearing likes to stick so make sure you spend a couple bucks on some grease at the autoparts store and grease it up otherwise you may need to take everything apart again.

Replace clutch

A new clutch kit or clutch package has 3 major parts: a new clutch disc (the thin plate with the abrasive surface), a new or reconditioned clutch pressure plate, and a new clutch release bearing (aka, throw-out bearing). Approximately $200 for the package.
Some people have been known to change only the clutch disc (for about $30), and use their old pressure plate and throw-out bearing. Not recommended-same people have been known to have to go back sooner than later to then replace the pressure plate and release bearing. Do it all once, then you won't have to go back and re-do it.

Have you checked the hydraulic clutch operation? Before condemning the clutch disc for failure, make sure the hydraulic clutch cylinder causes the clutch fork or lever to have sufficient travel to engage the clutch when the pedal is depressed. Also check the clutch fluid reservoir for being full.

So on my kia spectra 5 the throw put bearing locks

thats because that type of clutch is a pull type not a push type, to remove the trans first remove the slave cyl then the 14mm nut that holds the fork arm lever its on top of the arm, then remove the arm off of the shaft, now remove the trans, the hard part is reasembly.. because you have to install the release bearing on the trans and snap it into the preasure plate, thats a whole nother story.......

Ok so im still trying to pull my trany out of my 06 kia spectra 5 and it still wont come apart. with 3 people and pry bars it will only get past the flywheel then spring back agaisnt the block. there are...

Jake, The metal arm that goes through the side of the trans that presses against the clutch when you push on the petal has to come off and out of the trans. It pivots on a ball type thing. Push it forward off its pivot point and remove the arm.

Loud clanking noise in or outof gear if the clutch is not engaged

Sounds like a throw out bearing or pressure plate problem. Run it by a trany shop, and they should be able to tell quick and easily if that's the problem.
