The heater in my 2003 Alero is no longer working. When i turn the knob, nothing happens, just silence. I changed the fuse on #53 Hi\BLO MOT and now the fan blows on but on high level only. Im not sure as to which fuse I need to check for the heater? Also, if i check the fuse and the fuse is good, is it more than likely that i will need to replace the resistor?

did you say you replaced the resister or you did not? if you did not i would, but first i would run 12 volts strate from battery to heater motor and make sure motor runs if motor runs replace resister.

It is the blower motor resistor and is located under the glovebox behind the blower motor.
SOURCE: I need to know the location of the blower motor
under the dash on the passenger or under the hood on the passenger side

There is a technical Service Bulletin that covers the exact thing you are describing. I would post a copy of the bulletin here, but it is copyrighted material, so I'll just give you the details....
Open the hood and remove the wiper arm assemblies. Remove the air inlet screen panel. Replace the foam seal that seals the inlet screen at the base of the windshield. (I have actually just sealed them with clear silicone before) When you reinstall the inlet screen, make sure that the lower lip on the winshield lace goes over the top of it. If it is on top of the window lace, it will make your problem worse, not better.
Its either a bad connection on the blower motor resistor or a faulty blower motor resistor. These are known for over heating.
