IF YOU REPLACING WINDOW GLASS OR SEAL LOWER THE WINDOW DOWN ENOUGH TO ACCESS GLASS CHANNEL BOLTS TO REMOVE THE WINDOW GLASS.IF WINDOW REGULATOR IS FAULTY YOU CANT REMOVE PARTS ON WINDOW REGULATORS AND REPLACE THEM. YOU HAVE TO REPLACE WINDOW REGULATOR.WINDOW REGULATOR IS UNDER SPRING TENSION IF YOU TRY REMOVE PARTS FROM WINDOW REGULATOR YOU CAN GET HURT.
If you can hear the motor (regulator) running and the window is not moving up or down then it sounds like you need to replace the regulator, there is a plastic piece on the regulatore which holds the window on track, when this breaks the window will not stay in track thus not going up or down. Unfortunately you have to replace the entire regualtor for plastic piece, about $100 at Oreily's or Autozone. You have to remove the door panel, disconnect the power to regulator and retaining pins or screws, pull the regulator through the large hole in the door frame, replace with new regulator in reverse order. Careful, secure window with duct tape in the up position before removing the old regulator (manually push the window up with your hands first)
Replace window regulator and motor. Procedure: Remove inside door panel, cut regulator wires, raise window manually and hold in place, undo bolts holding window glass to regulator, undo bolts holding regulator to door-frame, remove regulator. Reverse to install.
you need to raise your window 1st take out nuts holding window regulator manually raise the glass and hold the glass by using tape motor and reail or regulator they come in one piece i beleive/make sure you disconnect the power going to the motor before you take it out
replacing the window regulator is pretty simple there is no need to go to a maual window all u have to do is take the door panel off and if u will go by the window regulator u can identify whick part u will need to remove and replace its a bolt on item and fairly simple to replace but the part is kinda pricey around 200-300 bucks but if u go to ebay u can buy one for around 80 -100 bucks good luck

You can get a replacement window regulator from many on-line parts warehouses, or at your local Kragen, Autozone, etc. Price for the regulator only (less motor) run between $65-$85, with the motor costing around the same price. I did find one place which had the regulator/motor combo for $75.
Here are a few on-line links:
1Aauto.com ( This is where I found the combo for $75) PartsTrain.com Car-Stuff.com By the way, I am going to try to replace the same parts on my 1998 Sienna van. Any idea where I can download the procedures for free? Don't need the entire repair manual, just the information for replacing the regulator/motor. Mojo
