Question about 2006 Peugeot 206 1.4

Open Question

While I drove with a full tank on a speed bump the engine light turned on. I got several errors as described below. Are all these errors are real or can it be that there was a circuit that cause these

Hi You need to get the ecu checked for fault codes if there are none it is possibly low fuel pressure you should allso check this have you changed the fuel filter or opened any fuel lines this could introduce air
which will lower fuel pressure.Good luck Chris.

SOURCE: pressure buildup in cooling circuit of my xantia

Combustion gas bubbles in the radiator coolant indicates a blown head gasket.
Take it to a radiator shop and get a combustion gas test to confirm.
Most likely will need cylinder head removed for inspection and replacement gasket fitted.
Absence of temperarure indication on dashboard may be due to electrical problem - check connections to temperature sensor etc.

98 citreon saxo 1.6 8valve,, won start.if it do start ,it runs for 3seconds, fuel pressure at rail is only 2to3pounds this modle have not got pressure regulator on the rail the code reader tells me no code in memory, any ideas ? john

SOURCE: High pressure fuel pump

fuel gage after the pump direct and then the line on the and same time before the filters and after the filters clean the tank and fit sum fuel injection cleaner first and see what happen can be the filter before the pump good luck .

Check engine light reads i have moisture in the evap system


if it drives good,why not just ignore it ,till spring

then post the DTC errors or savvy persons can wax smarter

in bad weather evap systems are in fact noted for there malfuctionig or flat out lies.
try to imagine when the fuel tank,goes from hot to cold

read the errors, lots can fail cold.
does engine start using spray test fuel method?
if yes, its fueling issue
cap is first. on tank filler, those too can freeze and fail, all by thereselves..(vacuum breaker faILURE)

If no warning if u driving - is all ok! Do not worry!
If you driving and comse up some warnings then is better drive to service.

Just filled the gas tank in my 2006 f-350 turbo diesel super duty (6.0), started the truck and the guage showed a full tank. Drove down the road about 1/10 of a mile and the guage dropped to dead empty...


A loose connection on the sending unit could cause the problem but also moisture in the tank in cold weather could also be a factor in which i would add fuel line antifreeze to a full tank of fuel..........Hope this helps you out.

Engine Light Staying on


i had the same problem, replaced several components spending a few hundred dollars. no luck. finally put in a four dollar bottle of 108 octane booster and a half tank of premium gas, disconnected the battery for two minutes to turn off engine light, drove it 60 miles, light stayed off, passed emissions test easily. still no light, problem solved.

Engine revs by itself ck engine light comes on


You would need an error code reading machine so you can find out why the check engine light is appearing, Once you have the error codes you can compare them to error codes for your make/model of car and will be able to diagnose the problem..
The Error code reader machines can be bought from car parts stores cheaply, And will help you a lot in finding the problem where its occurring, Without reading the error codes you could be randomly guessing where the issue is, There are many things that could be faulty which are causing the problem you describe.

Antifreeze overflow from tank


I would check for visible cracks and leaking at the overflow tank when the engine is cold, then when the engine is running and at operating temperature and not running and at operating temperature as well as during cool down. Also check the coolant overflow hose for leaks or obstructions inside the hose or if the hose is kinked. Check to make sure that the overflow tank cap is damage free and securely fastened.

diesel engine have small starter helpers called glow plugs that heat the combustion air so that it can self ignite the diesel fuel
reasons for hard starting are
slow cranking speed---battery not charged enough or not big enough to do the job
injectors squirting and nit atomizing--- take the car to an accredited diesel pump/ injector repair shop for tip replacement and adjustment
the check engine light could be from faulty glow plugs
keep the fuel tank full ,especially in cold climate as there is hot return fuel from the injectors that causes condensation in the tank--water -- and that promotes the growth of a fungus which damages the pump and injectors
use diesel fuel condition on a regular basis to prevent that condition or keep the tank more that 3/4 full to stop condensation occuring

2002 Misubishi check engine light comes on when gas is below 3/4


Could be a warning that your fuel pump may be going. The gas level monitor is controlled by a float in the gas tank. It is attached to the fuel pump attachments. It too is electronically controlled.
