Question about 2001 Honda CR-V
2001 Honda CRV-clicking sound behind & to the right side of glove box when turning key on. Check engine light is on constantly, no other apparent problem .
Sounds like the dampener gear shaft is trying to either open or close the vent and clicks b/c its stripped... turn the climate contol to the middle and turn it off...see what happens play with the controls back and forth from h ot to cold high to low and see if it gets worse or stopps or makes any diff at all if thats it, you can take out glovebox removes some screws/bolts and remove the gear or pull the lil plastic shaft out , however it will effect the the performace of the heater/cooling system. I would recomend taking it to a dealer/local yokal if you notice a change so that way you can still use it...let me know what you find
