95 buick park ave car running radio off, igniton on accradio works

I have a 95 buick park ave and when the car is running the radio wont power up. The most i get is the clock for about 5 seconds if i push the "recall" button. If i have the car on accessory the radio works fine.

I just had a problem with my blower motor for ac not working. I took it to my mechanic who was not sure/couldn't figure out what it was but he checked all relays/ fuses etc. When he couldn't figure it out i started messing around with it took most of dash off. Im not sure if i did something or mechanic did something did not realize radio problem until a couple days later.
Can anyone help me?

I took the radio out and im pretty sure mechanic took radio out too. The radio has the one harness with all the wires in it (and only plugs in one way obviously) but none of those wires were touched. I know that either of the 2 wires (the yellow and red) must be the problem but where do those wires go to. I have to trace those wires and somewhere along the line is where the problem is. But im trying to figure out if those wires go to a fuse box or relay or something and my mechanic checked that and mixed something up. He doesn't remember. My original problem was blower motor for a/c not working so it has to be something that my mechanic checked out (looking for the A/C problem). Is there any relays or harnesses that could have gotten switched and is causing this problem? Worse comes to worse, Im going to run a 12v wire right to the radio with a switch so just have to flip switch for the radio. But i would still like to find out what is causing this. Thanks again for the your help.

Who ever took the radio out is guilty. The power wires must have been reversed. One is supposed to have power all the time, (memory)and the other just when your ignition is on. Apparently, they got mixed up.

It's possible that the wires may have pulled out of the plug in when he was disconnceting it. Then he stuck them back in the wrong way. You just have to find the 2 power wires with a test light, and switch them again.

I have a 1995 Buick Park Ave Ultra. The car has power but will not turn over. I was told by one shop that it might be the V.A.T.S. system and by another that it is the IGNITION CONTROL MODULE.

Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight on the battery. Check to see if the wires to the starter are tight. Try starting it in neutral to make sure the safety switch is being make. Also hold it up into park and try.

Power seat on drivers side of 1996 buick park ave. wont go in reverse every ting else works ok

Chances are one of the motors has gone out. There are 3 motors for each of your power seats. One controls the forward/backward motion, one controls up/down/tilt, and the third controls the reclining seat back. In my '95 model, there is one fuse for the seats under the driver's side dashboard. There should be a diagram inside the fuse panel cover denoting which one controls the seats. Hope that helps!
