first thing check AC compressor fuse.the AC compressor clutch should engage when you turn on airconditioner if AC compressor dont come on and fuse okay compressor clutch is open or low on refrigerant you need check your AC refrigerant low pressure side and high pressure side need a manifold gauge set. best let garage check out AC system could need system recharged or could have leak in the system.
the compressor is protected by a pressure switch to prevent from damage of the compressor when ever the prion gas is leaking there no pressure on the system so the compressor will not engage check for the linking of the system
the AC compressor has a "shutdown switch" when not enough refrigerant is in the system run a wire from the
run a wire from the + battery cable to the compressor pulley switch with the engine running, ac on if the compressor clucth engages (turns) you have low refrigerant charge
A mechanic would start at the compressor and work back. Did you jumper the low pressure switch, or the relay, or put power directly to the ac clutch ? You have a low pressure switch that should be closed and a high pressure switch that should be closed to put power to the compressor clutch. If the freon pressure drops below 20psi the low switch opens, if it goes above 300 psi the high switch opens.
the system is low on charge, as far as the attempt to add refrigerant u did something wrong, no sure what, the rapid cycling of the compressor is only caused by a low charge 99% of the time. Have u hooked up a set of gauges to check pressures?
no its cutting on then off
