Question about Dodge Stratus

04 Ford Taurus Started shaking and over-heated!

On the highway Driving approximately 15 minutes or so at posted limit. Car started to shake vigorously, Pulled into rest stop almost immediately. I turned off the car, there was not a lot of smoke but it was appearing to be overheating... Could not tell how much coolant was on the ground because it had been raining. I did not attempt to restart the car I had it towed to the shop... Sort of freaking out the day after Christmas if its a big expense. Any idea what I should anticipate when myI mechanic calls me tomorrow?

SOURCE: Car drove great one day but the next day it

ok, is it losing fluid? check the floor board by the passenger seat, up under the dash, is it wet? Your heater-core may be shot. The core is tucked up behind your glove compartment. If it's plugged, water won't circulate and won't be able to be cooled, causing it to overheat.

SOURCE: engine overheating

the problem is your water pump some have a plastic impeller that brakes up which stop the water serculating around the engine thats what causes the engine to overheat. when you replace it make suer the impeller is alloy and change the thermastat has well just to be on the safe side. if its blowing out gray smoke the head gasket needs replacing as well

I would say a zero chance of the fuel pump being the cause.
Could be the spark plug, wire or coil - or a vac leak or the fuel injector.

1999 Ford Taurus, steering wheel shakes when driving due to front passanger side tire movement/problem. The tires have been rotated and still problem from that area. What could it be?

Usually a steering wheel shake is a bad tire. Any chance you have 2 bad tires on the car? Only a front tire will make the steering wheel shake.

Something out-of-balance somewhere. Start with the tires, check the wheels, then have the driveshaft balance checked. Do any off-roading?
