How to read a po125 code


This is a Code for coolant temperature problems. The cause could be a coolant sensor or the water could be cold due to a bad thermostat. The connection for the part could also be bad and the engine can't go into warm mode without the data.

Did you bleed the coolant system?This needs to be done,and it should be fine,but you will have to have the code erased too.

Did you reset the Computer after you did the repair? After you replace a sensor that has stored a fault code you need to reset the computer in the car to clear the stored codes. Auto Zone or O'Rielley's may do it for you or try removing the Negative battery terminal for 60 secs.

What your describing is either a sticking thermostat, a low coolant condition or a blown cylinder head gasket.The code is for coolant temp fault.Not always the temp sensor but it is located next to the thermostat housing.

Check the wiring around the Oxygen sensor.
This error indicates the sensor is not sending the correct signal to the computer.
It may be wiring or the sensor itself.
