i have checked the fuses. when i first bought the truck about a year an a half ago. i had the power seats quit on me and i pulled the fuse and put it back in and they worked for a few months. in january i had an accident and it went in the body shop, and came out and they were working but then they quit working and then started working again intermittantly. after a week they completely quit working. i took it back to the body shop and they told me it wasn't there problem. i think it could be a pcm issue.. but i want to be sure.. i checked the fuses again and there good. whats your thoughts on this??

Hi

If both are not working it’s probably a fuse or a disconnected wire going to the seat. The heating and the power movement of the seat are two different systems, but they do run off the same power source going to the seat. Just look under the seat, the wires should be easy to see.
Underneath the seat there should be a wiring harness connector that connects to one coming out of the seat, some power seat options can be operated when the key is off and some when the key is on, you know this better than me, what ever the case there should be power at the connector all the time, if there is, the problem is in the seat and some of those are a complete assembly, then again if there is no power there, then the problem exists farther up the wiring harness. Check to make sure that the wire is plugged all the way into its port. Next check your fuse box. Heated seats usually have their own fuse.

The heat and the power seats are separate issues as they are wired independently. The fact that they are both out suggests the problem could be at the PCM. You could always try disconnecting your battery for 48hrs and see if the modules reset.

Please do accept this solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

    Hi

I hope a part from checking fuses you have also checked the wires. The first thing you can do is try disconnecting your battery for 48hrs and see if the modules reset. If it still does not work then you can try replacing the fuses. If then also it gives you the same issue then definitely it suggests the problem is at the PCM.

Front passenger power seat quit working

Check the fuse located underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Flip over the plastic fuse box cover lid and you will find a diagram that shows what fuse controls the seat. Replace that fuse with the same number fuse.

It is a fuse. Go into your owner manual to locate the fuse or just look in the fuse panel as they are labeled.

Driver's side power seat and heat in both seats not working

hello, have someone check all fuses-and plugs for the power seat, they may be a relay for this problem, can call autoparts store and ask about any relays for the heated seats and the power seat, if thats not it you may have to replace, electric motor for seat, sounds like a fuse, the way it all quit working..

2004 chevy. Heated seats will not stay on.

See GM TSB 05-08-143-001, If you have Adjustable pedals, especially if they dont; work with the memeory buttons, but function with thier own buttons. Its the Brake Pedal Position Sensor is shorted and mesing up the seat module which controls the heaters too. My 05 Suburban had the same issue.
