Question about 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD
I have a 2004 sierra 2500hd diesel. my driver power seat quit working along with both of my heated seats on driver and passenger side.
If both are not working it’s probably a fuse or a disconnected wire going to the seat. The heating and the power movement of the seat are two different systems, but they do run off the same power source going to the seat. Just look under the seat, the wires should be easy to see.
Underneath the seat there should be a wiring harness connector that connects to one coming out of the seat, some power seat options can be operated when the key is off and some when the key is on, you know this better than me, what ever the case there should be power at the connector all the time, if there is, the problem is in the seat and some of those are a complete assembly, then again if there is no power there, then the problem exists farther up the wiring harness. Check to make sure that the wire is plugged all the way into its port. Next check your fuse box. Heated seats usually have their own fuse.
The heat and the power seats are separate issues as they are wired independently. The fact that they are both out suggests the problem could be at the PCM. You could always try disconnecting your battery for 48hrs and see if the modules reset.
