Question about 1997 GMC Jimmy
There is no voltage on either side of the 10A fuse in position 20 of the fuse box on the drivers side of the dash. Engine starts, battery is charging, (checked with external meter) all lights seem to be working. I had removed the dash to replace the heater core....all back together now but this problem....not sure how to troubleshoot it.... . When I turn the key on the panel illuminates as it should in the initial test, then goes dark. Just none of the instruments move, properly....I am missing something here and am out of ideas as to what to look for.... Of course at holiday time, not much help available...
Probly a wire connection somewhere you missed when you put it back together

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I took it to a mechanic who has the same vehicle and he said it was the switch in my driver side door panel. Not that big a deal, but a little costly and the switch has to be programmed by a dealer wich is BS. The mechanic put the switch on and it will work on all my other windows except my driver window. so good luck.

Flashing check engine light is missfire, fuel pump probably causing multiple tries to start.Having to build fuel preasure, vac leak on one side of intake probably causing rich/lean condition. Also check back preasure to cat ,Sound like you are moving down right track.Mas air flow would probably set lean code bank1 and lean code bank2
