Question about 2002 Toyota Tundra
Ok , cruise. no engine options stated. so... wild guessing....
on many newer cars, and for sure with FBW or TBW (throttle by wire)
systems, the cruise is canceled any time there are DTCs set.
or any for the throttle portions for SURE.
keep in mind, you are not driving , IT IS.
the PCM is running the throttle no you, you are only begging.
so it assumes the car is out of control if TBW has errors.
and can in fact cause TBW limphome and tranny limp and engine limp home, triple limp. i call it.
it does that so you dont hit objects or others.
see all those lawsuits for toyota lately all for out of control.........?????
so if you had the FSM , in hand you;d already know this.
and would scan the PCM and see if there are any DTCs set.
if all is clean then and only then diagnose CRUISE.
FBW -fly by wire, (generic term)
TBW = Throttle by wire.
the V6 engine may have a throttle cable, so ..... what engine.
always post engine type and country and if car has throttle by wire
some years, started mid year. so YOU NEED TO KNOW BY LOOKING THAT THE TROTTLE VALVE for 1 second.
