Question about 2000 Toyota Camry
The keys (both key that opens all locks and the valet key) will not turn in the ignition. It only moves about 1/4 inch. Also, in order to get the steering wheel to lock, it is necessary to really pull the wheel a great deal and turn the tires. It does not lock automatically if the wheel is turned just a bit. I have no idea if this is related to the key turning in the ignition to start the car.Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I need guidance. Thanks
It sounds like your ignition lock cylinder has a problem. These can be replaced and keyed to match you present key by a locksmith. Call a locksmith for a estimate.
