Question about Dodge Ram 1500
Turn signal works. when the truck is not running and I turn the left turn signal on every thing is fine. When the truck is on the lights work but a lamp out is on and blinking when left turn signal is on. All bulbs are working but they blink fast. Not sure where to start?
The turn signal bulbs are dual filament bulbs, so if it appears to be on it's the other filament, replace the bulb.

If new bulbs don't work, it is probably the harness that holds the bulb. I had to replace both on my car after fighting with the problem for over a year and not knowing.

SOURCE: Turn signal blinks too fast
Try changing the flasher, it's in the fuse box, round in shape, and either blue or silver in color. The 4 way flasher is the same shape, to be sure you get the right one, put the left signal on and put your finger on it, if you feel it clicking, you have the right one.

No, but that's probably where your problem is. The wires get the hell beat out of them by stones, and then they short out and cause problems. I would take a look at it.
