If I had a new timin chain put on my 1994 Chevycaprice with the 5.7 an if they move anything wrong will my car be off timin

A new timing chain will not affect ignition timing unless the chain is incorrectly installed then the whole engine is out of time. Why not state what the problem is instead of a generic question like you posted.

Timing advance possibly or timing off if u have distributor u can check the timing by pulling plug #1 and bring it to top dead center and lift the cap and make sure the rotor is hitting #1 becareful if you set the timing not to get it 180degrees off . If you have a timining light it's the easiest way to check you can rent 1from most auto parts store .

When should timing belt be changed?

Hi there:
most manufactures call for timing belt/chains to be replaced approximately every 75,000 to 100,000 miles.
Timing belt replacement can be very difficult if you don't have much experience in that type of repair for the best step by step instructions it would be best too go and get a repair manual from your local parts distributor i would recommend getting a chilton repair manual.
hope this is helpful for you best of luck too you

My 2002 2.2 engine size grand am wont start ,it almost starts but it won't fire .i replace new part on it like timin chin water pump and head gasket.

I WOULD CHECK THE IGNITION MODULE IF NO SPARK EXISTS. IF I REMEMBER CORRECT, IT IS LOCATED ON TOP OF THE ENGINE NEAR THE INDIVIDUAL COILS FOR EACH CYLINDER. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. BEST OF LUCK. P.S. HAVE HAD THIS VERY SAME PROBLEM.(NO SPARK)
