TCS and ABS lights being on is an indication of a transmission problem. Try replacing the transmission fluid first and if the problem is not resolved you may have to see a reliable transmission repair shop. Dealer will charge you a minimum of $4K to replace transmission assembly.

the system in a Honda is very complacated for the ABS it reads each tires speed for it to be able to pressurize the caliper according to the tires speed individualy controled if you say you had a loss of power you might want to get a pro to check the system and make sure everything is working correctly Hondas are like the Porsche for us Middle class people do not attempt work on this your self you can mess up the calibration of the ABS and get stuck with no brakes

ABS/TCS lights on 2002 Honda Accord Coupe EX V6. Have high quality OBDII Scanner. Should the on board system report the problem to the scanner?

Only if the warning light showed on the dash...most often these abs sensors get clogged with brake dust or dislodged during wheel swaps if the pads are fine and fluid level correct...first check the brake pads then the disks and clean the sensors with an old toothbrush and reseat, also check the fluid level on the abs system.this should clear warning light.but any error codes stored on ecu need to be cleared using obd.

PRE-DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTIONBefore diagnosing ABS/TCS, perform a comprehensive visual inspection of system as follows.Check ABS/TCS wiring harness connectors for looseness. Check harness routing; pay particular attention to wheel speed sensor wiring harness routing. Check fuses No. 1D, 5B and 6B in instrument panel fuse block. Check fuses No. 1 and 2 in underhood fuse block. Check brake fluid level in master cylinder reservoir. Check brake fluid level in Pressure Modulator Valve (PMV) assembly reservoir. Ensure parking brake is fully released. Ensure parking brake switch is functioning properly. Always perform ABS/TCS system functional check before using DIAGNOSTIC CODE CHARTSThe EBCM/EBTCM has self-diagnostic capability, which can detect system failures. Fault codes stored by EBCM/EBTCM can be displayed using Tech 1 scan tester. There are no provisions for flash code diagnostics.Begin ABS/TCS diagnosis with PRE-DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTION procedure. If failures are found during pre-diagnostic inspection, perform necessary repairs, and proceed with ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK. See Fig. 5 .If no failures are found during pre-diagnostic inspection, go to ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK. See Fig. 5 . The ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK will either indicate ABS/TCS is functioning properly or direct technician to various diagnostic procedures such as diagnostic charts, symptom diagnosis or BRAKE warning light diagnosis.CHART D - TRACTION OFF WARNING LIGHT ON CONTINUOUSLY & NO DTC SET (BUICK WITH UH8 OR U2A INSTRUMENT CLUSTER)Circuit DescriptionWhen ignition switch is first turned to RUN position, EBTCM goes through a self-test, which lasts 2-4 seconds. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) can also command EBTCM to set a Code 75 which will illuminate TRACTION OFF indicator.Traction control switch is located either on instrument panel center trim plate or driver's front door trim panel. Diagnosis ABS & TCS dashboard lights on

You will need access to a scan tool that "talks" to the ABS module. As for the fix, it depends on what the diagnosis tells you.

Code 2200 - ABS Module Malfunction

The cpu moniters all the systems you mentioned so any one of the sensors can be faulty and put the light on. In my reference book on codes OBD-11 P2 the code quoted refers to nitrogen oxide sensor bank 1 circuit malfunction causes wiring NOx sensor or heated oxygen sensor 3 bank1. Wiring short to positive---short to ground ---ECM unless the ECM controls the abs etc I would be seeking a second opinion as to the problem

The abs and tcs lights came on at same time

You'll need to get the system scanned for trouble codes.
Some code readers will not access the ABS or body computer.
A trouble code for the ABS can also knock out the traction control.

Abs & TCS-off dash lights both stay on. Pushing the TCS off switch does not help. "seem" to stop fine. Emergency brake seems to be fully off, not dragging. My wife encountered a patch of ice...

Hello: If there is a problem in the ABS it will bring on the tcs light as well. To determine what is causing the problem you need to have the ABS checked with a scanner to get the code. Then trouble shoot the components that the code leads you to. Normal braking is available with the light on but TCS is not as it relies on ABS for functioning the TCS.

How do you reset the ABS and TCS lights on a 2002 Mazda 626?

these reset each time the key is turned on to start the car, if they remain on there is a problem in the system, the ABS and TCS are run by the same system control module, have it tested to see what fault code shows up to indicate what part has failed.
