Sure inside, radio.
check all fuses first.
make sure all 3 power wires are in fact at 12v.
if not , fix that first.
power ( goes to IGN1.
Dial (goes to dash park dimmer ckt)
memory (hot all the time)

Hazards stuck, dash is dark when headlights on

I had a similar problem with my 2002 Taurus. I removed the dash and pulled out the display behind the steering wheel. I reseated all the light bulbs behind the display. Everything has worked fine since. You will find more info on how to do this if you search the internet.

1999 Cougar radio display works sometimes

the radio display is lighted from the back by a miniature bulb, this is the problem, the filament is almost burned out or the bulb is loose in the socket, to replace this bulb u must remove the radio (requires special radio removal tool kit, about $6.00) and then the top cover off the radio, the bulb socket twists into the back of the display, you can buy the bulb at any parts store for about $2.00

Need to know which fuse it is that my radio display runs on in my 03jeep cherokeee

there is not a separate fuse for the radio display, if the radio works then the miniature bulb inside the radio that back-lights the display is burned out, u must remove the radio and take the cover off the top of the radio, there u will find the tiny bulb socket that is behind the display, the bulb is avail at any arts store for around $2

Radio display doesnt light up

The same thing happened to me, take the radio out and take the front of the unit off. (six screws). then remove and replace the flat cable in the center by gentlely pushing the the grey back up to release the cable. then put it back making sure the grey clip is pushed home and then fit it all back and it should work. My radio stopped when i started using the tape deck as this cable might be moved internaly when you insert the tape.

1990 Cougar No display dashboard or radio

I am not sure if you mean the dash lights or just the radio display
cause there was some models with small bulbs behind the dash and you had to replace the bulbs and some of them you had to replace the cluster and if you have to replace it and you go to a salvage yard look at the date just inside the drivers door and find one as close to that date as you can and it should work and as for the radio there is a bulb behind the radio
