Passenger side knobs not working on climate control unit

Knob on the passenger climate control unit does not work. Doesn't change temp, seat, temp or when using MMI features. The drivers side knob works fine have to sync to control temp but cannot adjust heated seat for passenger. Is it a fuse of possible bad unit or connection behind unit?

All 3 are possible problems. A fuse is most likely the problem unless something got spilled leaked its way into the unit. Check all the fuses with a test light first before you try and replace the unit

SOURCE: Audi fault code J386 (2002)

There's a TSB on that problem. It involves broken wires in the A and B pillar from the central convenience module to the rest of the car. Ask your VW dealership or what not for a more specific answer.

SOURCE: 2001 Audi A6 Seat overheated!

There should be plug for the heated seat most likley under it or on the drivers side of passenger seat. This should fix your problem, if it doesn't that means the short is in the dial in the dash. There should be a seperate fuse for each seat in the fuse box. If unplugging the seat doesn't help come back and i will figure out which fuse is the right one and where your fuse box is.

Climate control knob not working passenger side

It's probably not the fuse, if it was both sides wouldn't work. It sounds to me like it's the knob that's become disconnected or broken. You'll need to remove the head unit and troubleshoot. Please add year, and model, trim and I might be able to point you in the right direction to troubleshoot.

1-check the vent door actuator while you turning the knob from the (vent/defrost/floor) if its not changing the directions and you hear clanking or plastic gear rubbing ..then that's the actuator broken 2-turn the knob again same above and if you don't hear the sound of the actuator ..then you have the climate control unit is defected if its Digital control unit .

Temperature knobs won't change temperature Chevy Tahoe

You likely have a HVAC control head failure. The rear heater problem is likely a door actuator, the rear wiper is likely a open wire in the door jamb in the top. The gauges are likely a cluster failure.

Temperature control knob turns but doesn't change temp.

the heater control valve is visible through the speaker cut-out; it's at the end of the plastic heater control rod, inside the car - not on the other side of the firewall! It's connected to the valve with a plastic "universal joint".

Check that the valve is actually being turned by the rod. The connection might not be good (pulled apart or broken), and or the valve might be stuck.

2003 montana arm to recline all seats defective

It is easier and CHEAPER to call the junk yards and check for the control head for the controls you need. you can remove your controls a a unit and replace the entire unit. Cost for the unit should run between 50.00 to 100.00. You may want to check to see if the control for the seat is replaceable. If it is you can get the control on line at RockAuto.com or from the junk yard. Several Ford models may have the same parts so you may not be limited to just the Montana model.
