Intermittent excelleration on a 2001 Hyundai Elantra

I have a 2001 Hyundai Elantra. After changing out the cluch and putting everything including all the wiring back together. (Double checked al the wiring) I am now getting an intermittent excelleration. my car reves up by itself continually going from idel to 4000+ RPMs. It was running great before I changed out the clutch. Is it a sensor, fuel system, or electrical problem??? What did I do to cause this.

Hyundai Elantra 1999 timing issue

It's a '99 Elantra, have you ever replaced the timing belt? It is a belt not a chaing, so it is very much should have the belt changed. After 13 years if you haven't done the belt yet now appears to be the time to change. I have an '05 and we changed it over a year now.

Good luck!!

Hey i have a 2001 hyundai elantra and i replaced the clutch and transmission and everything is put back together but i cannot get the k frame back in place it wont line up. any ideas i tryed everything

In order to get the kframe lined up correctly, you will have to backup a few steps and start over from ther. You will never get the frame to line up with all the other pieces installed already!!!

Hi there, I live in Colombia South America and I have a HYUNDAI Elantra 2001 automatic transmission and it behaves exactly like yours. I have the best mechanic guy intown and also the dealer garage take down the whole transmission and nothing changed. It seems now to be something with the electric wiring system.

I would recommend you to have the electric system checked.

Good luck.
