well first you have to locate any screws that are holding it on they can be very well hidden. once you get the screw out you should be able to pry it off or pull it up and out. this is just general info not specific.

Here's how:

First, take out the two screws at the top of the door panel, screwed into the top corners and pointing toward the middle of the door panel.

Second, inside the door pull (where you pull the door shut) is one screw pointed backward - remove that. Then force the inside "lining" of that pull downward and remove it.

Third, remove the screws you have just uncovered (two on the front door, one on the rear door).

That's it - just lift the panel upward and it'll be off.

In my 2004 audi a4 1.8t my passenger door lights for the window and unlock buttons are off also they dont work... but I can still lock the doors and open the Windows using the driver side door buttons......

Often passenger side switches and motors go bad from none usage or too much. Try replacing the door switch. You may need to pull the door panel off to see what is going on with a meter to check for continuity. After removing door handle and switches many of the panels pop off using a flat blade screwdriver.

Bad Windows and Door Lock...Please Help

My Audi A4 is a 99, so they're the same vintage, and the A4s have a fairly common rate of failure for the window regulators. They're easy to change, but usually expensive to buy. You probably will have the most luck on eBay sourcing them at a good price. You remove the door panel (www.vwvortex.com will probably have a tech article detailing this), unbolt the regulator from the window assembly (in my A4 it's three bolts), and it pops straight out. Disconnect the electrical connector, and reverse the procedure to install the new one.
