I have full battery power but no power to my dash ignition lights when i turn key put have head lights and horn. on my 2008 chevy cobalt

Some cars have inline fuses in the battery cables and have multiple connections for components making one get power and others not. If all your fuses are good, the next thing to look at is the electrical part of the key switch. Usually there is the mechanical part with the tumbler, and the electrical part.

92 GMC sierra pickup with a new battery, has no power, checked battery connections, even with jumper cables it still has no power

I would start with the fuseable links on the starter and the ground connections for the engine. One of the battery cables could be corroded inside under the plastic.

My ford escort zx2 serfinteen belt broke car died, pushed car to parking spot, removed belt pices, now car dose not want to start, tested battery, battery good 12.45 , turn key no power to anything

Sounds like a wire was broken by the belt somehow.
You have some fuseable links and large fuses that power the components on the car.
I would look around for a loose wire close to the belt side of the engine, and check the fuses for power.

96 tercel keeps draining the battery. Alt. is new and fuse and breakers are good

Your going to need a volt/ohm meter for testing this prob. You need to put the meter on amperage mode and turn off all devices in car and close all doors and make sure key is off! Disconnect the negative battery cable and use the meter to hook from the battery negative cable to the other end of the cable, basically the meter is completing the circuit. Once you turn the meter on the vehicle will have to power down cause your meter connection will have woke up several modules, wait bout 5 min with the meter on, if the meter is 10 ohm scale a good reading should be around 0.025 to 0.001, if it's anything higher then pull fuses 1 by 1 until the draw falls into proper range, that will help you narrow down what circuit the draw is related to. Quick check, make sure the trunk light and or glove box lights are actually turning off, most common prob for current draw..

99 subaru forester. No power at all. When I wiggle negative battery cable : power comes back and alarm is triggered. But power fails again if I turn key or touch brake pedal. How do i fix this?

Bad battery (have the battery tested) Bad connection, corrosion on the terminal and in the cable, replace the cable, recharge the battery to full charge.

Remote door locks don't work and engine won't turn over or start. Jumper cables don't help.

The first thing is to make sure the battery is fully charged, sometimes jumper cables wont work if battery is to far gone, also check the connections, the last and most common is theres a problem with the inside fuse panel wiring, the main power wiring feeding fusebox melts, this cause the loss of power, the dash lights light up when turning the key but the car will not do anything when key is in the crank spot the engine will not spin to start, in this case wiring and fusebox need replacing, diagnose first before replacing parts,

Sounds like the battery cables are loose or corroded.
Usually its the battery. But your saying battery is ok.
Is battery new?If no was battery load tested?
Battery cables can be for resistance with a voltmeter.
If you need help with that let me know.

Remote alarm was off for 10mins now car wont do anything

well the alarm would not lock the key in the ignition.. But the only thing that would lock key is dead battery or bad battery cables. dirt on the cables and battery terminals.. I would check that before anything else. That problem is common (mostly on batteries with side posts.

The security light is on in my 2001 chevy venture message center

Hi there,
Most commonly with these cars the security system will do this if the battery is "drained" while trying to start the car. ie: a low battery that is too weak to turn the engine over. Usualy the power options & accesories will not work if this is happening.
To fix it you will need to ensure the battery is charged, you then disconnect the battery negative cable for about 1 minute with the key out of the ignition. reconnect the battery cable & start the car normally. Everything should be back to normal.
Let me know if there is anything more you need for this concern.
