Why or what are posiabilitys for raideator hoses calapsingon 1996toyta avlon

radiator hoses are know to collapse especially the bottom hose when the radiator cores become blocked or the spring in the hose rusts away and no longer supports the hose.
Hoses should be replaced when they are larger than the hose clip holding them on as this an indication of the binding fabric in the rubber is rotting away and no longer doing the job.

Adjusting hand brake

there is a cable adjuster under the center console if its got a rear ashtray just pull that out and look there.but you should remove the rear brake drums and check the shoes. and the handbrake fulcrum levers, they can sieze up. also make sure the levers return to the stops with handbrake off and the auto adjusters are working ok before adjusting the handbrake cable! it helps brake performance if you give the auto adjusters a bit of a tweak before putting the drums back on. manually adjust 3-4 clicks or until the drum goes back without binding.

My emergency brake is having trouble releasing on my 2001 chevy blazer s10. it releases only by when i pull the lever and when i push the pedal back into position for it be released. im worried of thi

i would check the pedal itself, then pull the drums and try adjusting the brakes, if you havent done this in a while to clean and adjust them you might be better off replacing the shoes, all springs and adjusting them till the drum just starts to drag and rechecking the ebrake, if this doesn't help you will probably need e brake cables and possibly a pedal assembly if it is binding

What does (Exp) stand for or mean?

Exp stands for export. On cars sold outside the US instead of a written message on the message center on the dashboard it would say exp and a number. The owner can look up the number in their owners manual written in their language to read the message. GM did this instead of making the dashboard display in different languages. A dealer may be able to reprogram your car so it just displays the message. Hope that helps.

if it is an automatic then its time for a service on the transmission because the bands are probably loose. if its a manual then your clutch could need adjusting or you may need a new clutch. hope that helps. let me know how you go.

Loose steering gear box needs adjusting

There should be a adjusting screw with a lock nut on it on the steering gear box. With the wheels straight ahead, loosen the lock nut and turn the screw in until it stops the back it out about a 1/8 of a turn. Try the steering check it for binding, it should turn free in both directions. If there is still too much play you can try turning it tighter but make sure it does not bind up. You may have to replace the steering gear box, you can probably get a rebuilt one, or go to; and check the salvage yards in your area for used.

How do I adjust the handbrake?

The parking brake on most vehicles are self adjusting. If the parking brake is not self adjusting you will to remove the brake drum/rotor and check to see which part is binding. If you wan to simply adjust the parking brake lever to make it tighter there should be an adjusting nut on the cable under the vehicle.

97 S-10, manual trans, 4WD, V6. wehn I engage

The gears are binding, and the vehicle is new enough the the computer can say hell no, and pop it back out. That or the mechanical portion won't hold it in place because the gears are binding. If you need 4WD, take it in to get repaired, The techs will try it out, and test it to make sure what is wrong, trust me when they are stumped, thy get 3 or 4 other techs thinking about it. They can fix it for you. A friend of mine had this issue, except in a 98 silvarado, and when he engaged his, it did the same thing. I never asked how they fixed it, but I know he went to a dealership to do it.
