Question about Cars & Trucks
I have a Warnock Hersey DV44 natural Gas fireplace insert. The label says it's only 11,400BTU. It doesn't produce enough heat. Can I simply buy a replacement burner that will produce more BTU to better heat my room without having to up grade the whole insert? Is the insert/box capable of accommodating a higher output burner or is it that not sn option? The current fan doesn't work and I was told it wasn't worth replacing because the 11,400 BTU output was so low. So can I just get a new/bigger burner?

SOURCE: replacing CV Joints
Yes you can remove the drive shaft by unbolting the bottom ball joint, then removing the nut that holds the shaft in the hub I would'nt recommend trying to replace just the CV joint as this can be a very complicated procedure involving specialized tools and more than just general mechanical skill, this isn't true of all,as some CV's come apart fairly easily. If the joint is bad you should probably just replace the axle.Remember to match mark any adjustable parts you may have to disassemble, and when you reassemble make sure to check the splines of the shaft and the drive hub, remove any foreign material and carefully file or sand any burs or scratches, any of these can cause the spline to bind on reassembly and possibly cause irreparable damage to one or both parts.Good luck hope this helps.

There is a HVAC relay and FUSE in the under hood fuse box, have you check both of these? If the blower works on any speed, the blower is good. You say it blows on lowest speed? The blower speed resistor is mounted on the blower housing. The HIGH SPEED BLOWER RELAY is mounted on the blower motor. You may have multiple problems but check fuses first, if all is OK, then a qualified repair shop will need to check further. You do NOT need the whole A/C system replaced. If it does blow cold, thats good, you just need the blower working.

The relay or contactor can be replace seperately. Take heed of high voltage being presentwhen removing and installing. Shut down all power supply.

I just took mine off to keep it from rattling, and bought a heat resistant header tape and placed the tape right over the Catalytic Converter on the body it self. Good luck and keep me posted if you have any more questions.
