Warnock hersey fireplace

I have a Warnock Hersey DV44 natural Gas fireplace insert. The label says it's only 11,400BTU. It doesn't produce enough heat. Can I simply buy a replacement burner that will produce more BTU to better heat my room without having to up grade the whole insert? Is the insert/box capable of accommodating a higher output burner or is it that not sn option? The current fan doesn't work and I was told it wasn't worth replacing because the 11,400 BTU output was so low. So can I just get a new/bigger burner?

SOURCE: replacing CV Joints

Yes you can remove the drive shaft by unbolting the bottom ball joint, then removing the nut that holds the shaft in the hub I would'nt recommend trying to replace just the CV joint as this can be a very complicated procedure involving specialized tools and more than just general mechanical skill, this isn't true of all,as some CV's come apart fairly easily. If the joint is bad you should probably just replace the axle.Remember to match mark any adjustable parts you may have to disassemble, and when you reassemble make sure to check the splines of the shaft and the drive hub, remove any foreign material and carefully file or sand any burs or scratches, any of these can cause the spline to bind on reassembly and possibly cause irreparable damage to one or both parts.Good luck hope this helps.

SOURCE: the airconditioner only works in my 2006 H3 when

There is a HVAC relay and FUSE in the under hood fuse box, have you check both of these? If the blower works on any speed, the blower is good. You say it blows on lowest speed? The blower speed resistor is mounted on the blower housing. The HIGH SPEED BLOWER RELAY is mounted on the blower motor. You may have multiple problems but check fuses first, if all is OK, then a qualified repair shop will need to check further. You do NOT need the whole A/C system replaced. If it does blow cold, thats good, you just need the blower working.

Headlights pulse

This sounds like a potentially failing alternator, I've had this happen a few times. When idling in drive, the alternator is spinning slower, so it produces less power. You can be more sure of this being the issue if the lights brighten when you shift into Neutral, where much less load is slowing the alternator. With a failing alternator, it can produce enough power when the vehicle is moving and hence running at higher engine RPMs, but when it drops below a certain threshold, the alternator is just not moving fast enough to produce enough amperage to run all the vehicle's electrical systems. If you can remove the alternator yourself, you can get it tested for free at many auto parts stores (call first if you're not sure). Otherwise, getting it tested at a reputable garage should be relative inexpensive.

My vw 1.8 2003 passat doesn't pick up speed when i press the gas

Its possible that your catalytic converter is clogged and its not letting you get sufficient power when you press the gas. If its the gear thats now powering enough, there may be a possible problem with the transmission.

I am certain it has happened before and I can picture exactly the part you are describing-having worked on cars with this type of cable, I have wondered why it was allowed to be mass produced and installed in vehicles. you should probably contact the NTSB and register a complaint, they would have records of other complaints of this nature. A consultation with a good consumer lawyer also might be in order under the circumstances.

When starting cold runs good after about 3 or 4 mimiutes have to pump the exceliator to maintain idle not seeming to get enough gas replaced fuel filter , spark plugs

Without being there...its difficult to diagnose...but....( just a shot in the dark) When you first crank it up, there is a cold start injector that sort of adds an extra shot of gas to help get it warmed up...then, it cycles off, perhaps answering the run ok when cold. Now....perhaps when engine begins to warm....this causes metal to "expand" allowing for a vacuum leak somewhere. Listen for an unusually loud hiss, or air being sucked in somewhere. All internal combustion engines produce vacuum when running, as the pistons...on the down stroke create this naturally. So....when a vacuum hose, connector, intake gasket (where intake mates to engine or any device mounted to the intake) comes loose, breaks, wears have a vacuum leak that can cause engine to run poorly, or not at all. Also check for a egr valve stuck open.

Try to post back and let me know If I helped you solve your problem. It will help me with my rating....! Thanks
