1998 Nissan maxima GLE taillights fuse keep blowing! bulbs are good when checking wires by light bulbs I noticed that the backup lights where hooked to the taillights is this normal!?

reverse lights get power from a reversing switch and hove a separate circuit
check for correct bulbs in the holders as a duel contact bulb in a single point contact holder will short and blow fuses

Are both rear bulbs on a 98 chevy silverado supposed to be brake lights

if the bulb has only one point of connection then the wattage on the bulb denotes if it is a brake or tail light
either bulb will work but a stop light bulb ( 25 watts ) will be too bright for tail lights while a tail light bulb (5 watts) will be too dull for a stop light
if the bulb has 2 points of connection ( duel filament) then the pins are off set so that when the bulb is installed each filament pont line up with the correct circuit

1994 Mazda protege taillight bulbs look like they

tail light bulbs should be 5 watts and brake lights 20 watts as the vehicle probably used a duel fitment bulb to contact points ( power in and earth out) it is possible to put the wrong bulbs in the wrong sockets.

2002 Isuzu rodeo -tail/illumini lights keep blowing fuse. Can't figure out what all this fuse goes to-so we can check wiring. Any ideas?

I would be first checking that the correct bulbs are fitted to the light sockets. If the socket has a single contact and a duel contact bulb has been fitted then the fuses will continually blow as there is a dead short across the contacts .; Check for cut /damaged wires at the light assemblies as if there has been no body damage or any add ons done that require screwing or drilling then the damage to the wiring will be remote. The rule is if single contact socket then single contact bulb and if duel contact socket then duel contact bulb.

How to fix short in tail/brake lights

check that you have the correct bulbs in use. bulbs come with either a single point contact where the earth is provided by the fitting and others use a 2 contact system where one wire is power and the other is the earth.. If you have single contact bulb in a duel contact fitting then the single point will short across the two points of the bulb.

2001 ford explorer sport rear driver side turn signal and brake light dont work.

Check the bulbs if the bulbs are good suspect the panel that the bulbs go into. Which are also called the sockets you may have to replace the sockets this is not an uncommon problem.

Why dose my left side brake light go out on a 2000 plymouth breeze when the headlights are turn on

There may be a problem with the duel filament bulb, or a fault in the earth wire to that brake light. Try a new bulb first , then try a small jump cable from the body to the bulb holder
