The horn relay is located under the hood with three more relays including the ignition relay......If you stand from the driver side looking at the hood, it would be the first relay on your left. You can actually remove it and test your horn to see if it is going to work just to make sure. Good luck

I wasn't referring to the distribution box where there are 5 relays and multiple fuses. There is another black box has 4 relays only....So, if you stand from the driver side looking under the hood, it will be the first relay on the left top side, hope that help. Thanks

1990 lincoln towncar runs rough and wont idle. could it be egr valve

What you may find will help is to remove the air horn and clean a passage leading to the EGR valve. The passage should be at the base of the airhorn and underneath the gasket. There should be 8 bolts and a $10 gasket to change.

Your car type is set for a 1990 LeSabre and the written part indicates a Towncar. My fix is for the Towncar.

I have a 1992 lincoln towncar! when i press the horn button ,i get a clicking sound from under the hood..I tried pressing again a short honk then nothing the relay fuse is good and the fuse is good what is...

You may have a poor connection in the wiring to the horns or the grounding connection. The click you hear is the horn relay. Have someone press the horn button while you wiggle wires. Also try rapping on the horns themselves with a stick or screwdriver handle--if that makes them honk, the internal contacts may be bad. Replace them if that is so, as they are usually sealed. Hope this helps!

The horn quit blowing and the cruise quiy workin on my 1998 linciln towncar what is the problem

These components generally draw high current and are fed thru relays under the hood instead of typical fuses. Substitution may find a guilty one.

Have had 1989 Lincoln Mark 7 LSC for 5 years she never failed to start. One day she wouldn't start thought mabey she was out of fuel put in 2 gallons. Still no go. Found fuel pump was not running. Shutoff...

Generally a relay is used instead of a fusses. Look under hood for a relay panel.. substitution is the easiest way to find failed relay.
I had similar symptom on my Towncar....found that adjacent relays were same part number. Pulled the horn relay....substituted it for the fuel relay...then replace with a new one.. Did not leave the defective one in place of horn relay. There may be other circuits on the same relay. Be careful !

Clockspring on 1994 lincoln towncar

It should be fine the 1990/1994 dont appear to change much esp in that side no more steering controls are added unto 95 odd But you may find ford may have changed connectors to stop you doing things like that and ruining there sales lol

If your clock spring is buggered your horn wont be working either nor will your cruise control controls.

Air suspension is dead on the ground fuse is good will not raise?

Check the suspension switch on the trunk, I think is on the driver side, something should happen if you turn it on/off.

99 lincoln twoncar Horn doesn't work

Be sure to check your fuse first

Common problem. I had the same problem a couple of years ago. You have 2 horns located at the back side of the grill, in front of the radiator. I replaced mine with a couple of horns off of an old cadillac that my son wrecked.

To test your horn, you can run a wire directly from your battery positve post to your horn's wire terminal. (The horn is grounded to the body of the car thru the bolt attached to the horn bracket.)
