Question about 1993 Buick Park Avenue
I have recently inherited a 1993 Park Avenue Ultra. Its a beautiful car and has been WELL taken care of. This morning I opened the trunk with my remote and when I tried to close it the option on the car that automatically grabs it and closes it did not engage. I have been very very careful about NOT closing it hard as my father was always sure to remind us all of not doing this. I can't figure out what might have happened to it. the release button in the glove box is on the 'on' option, and everything else seems to work but not the trunk. Can you please help. I hate to think I have broken the trunk after only having this car for 1 month.
Check your fuses. It could be something really silly like that.
Even if it has been meticulously maintained, this is, after all, a 16 year old car. The more neat gadgets you have, the more can go wrong. If all the fuses are ok, start checking the relays. A Haynes manual should help you track down the correct one.
If the relay is ok, then your next stop is the solenoid.
